Today I'd love to celebrate Kate Chartres for graduating as a Breathing Space Breathwork Facilitator. 🎉🎉🎉
Yay! Well done Kate!!!
Kate came to the training already with an incredible depth of knowledge and experience. She was already an EMDR consultant, accredited supervisor and mental health nurse, with extensive experience in trauma therapy.
From the very beginning of the training, I encouraged Kate to bring all of her experience and knowledge into her Breathwork practice.
There was never any need for to minimise her expertise or learn breathwork in a way that didn't feel aligned with her own knowledge and truth.
Kate embraced this wholeheartedly, weaving breathwork together with everything she already knew about trauma, nervous system regulation and healing.
She integrated it naturally alongside her existing trauma practices and works with the breath in ways that truly honour her breathers' nervous systems and support them to heal slowly, safely and deeply.
What I also loved was, despite her clinical background, how much Kate embraced the spiritual aspects of the training too.
She joined in the shamanic journeys and mantra practices, continued developing her own skills as a sound healer, and beautifully wove sound journeys into her breathwork sessions and the breathwork retreat she held as her graduation project.
I'm genuinely excited to see what Kate brings next to the world of breathwork. Her ability to bridge the worlds of trauma therapy, neuroscience, spirituality and breathwork is something really special.
I have no doubt she'll continue to be a thought leader in this field, and I really can't wait to witness the impact she makes.
Congratulations on everything you've achieved, Kate. It's been such a privilege to witness your journey, and I can't wait to finally meet you in person (hopefully at 11:11! 😍). ❤️
Love, Shakti Tracy ❤️
