Most people don't realise that contact lens blister packs and foil lids are recyclable - and for years, they've just been going in the bin.

We've had recycling facilities in practice for contact lens packaging and old frames for a while now, and honestly, we love that Plastic Free July gives us a reason to shout about it.

If you've got a bag of used blister packs sitting at home (no judgement - we all do), bring them in next time you visit. Same goes for old frames you're not sure what to do with.

Drop them at reception - we'll take it from there.

Keeping your eyes healthy doesn't have to be complicated - a routine eye exam goes a long way.

What most people don't realise is just how much we can check during a standard appointment. Using OCT scanning technology, we get a detailed, 3D view of the structures inside your eye, and with tonometry (the puff of air test), we can measure the pressure inside your eye too. Together, these help us pick up on early signs of glaucoma long before you'd notice any changes yourself.
