Zero Tolerance to Abuse Towards Our Staff 🚨
We are extremely disappointed to report a recent increase in unacceptable behaviour towards members of our practice team.
Our staff come to work every day to care for our patients and support our community. They should be able to do so without fear of being treated with rudeness, hostility, or aggression, or being shouted at, threatened, intimidated or subjected to abusive language.
While we understand that people can become frustrated, there is never an excuse for abuse.
As an NHS GP practice, we operate a Zero Tolerance Policy. Any form of verbal abuse, threatening behaviour, intimidation, harassment, or physical violence towards our staff will not be tolerated. Patients displaying this behaviour may be asked to leave the premises immediately, and where appropriate, incidents will be reported to the police. In line with NHS guidance, patients may also be removed from the practice list in exceptional circumstances.
We ask all patients to remember that our reception, administrative and clinical teams are doing their very best to help. They deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect, even when the answer they have to give may not be the one you were hoping for.
We are incredibly proud of our team and will always support them in carrying out their roles safely and professionally.
