Yesterday out in the community at Clifton Street Community Centre 🩺

We joined the Worsley Mesnes Ward councillors at their community surgery today, alongside a free Heinz food giveaway for local residents.

One of our SWAN PCN nurses Vanessa was there offering blood pressure checks, health advice and informal conversations about health and wellbeing.

Councillor Paul Molyneux even took the opportunity to have his blood pressure checked while we were there! 😊

It was a lovely opportunity to meet local residents and for primary care to be visible and accessible within the community.

Thank you to the councillors, Clifton Street Community Centre and everyone involved for welcoming us.

🏆 Employee of the month - August 🏆

On behalf of last months winner Kieran…

This person has picked up a lot of responsibilities since joining our team and seems to take everything in their stride.

Being the first point of contact for a PCN can be challenging at times with the vast amount of different requests that come in on a daily basis.

This person has learned very quickly how everything works in the PCN and is now many of our 'go to' person in the office if we need any help with admin.

They have fit in to our team seamlessly and it feels like they have been here for a very long time. They are very professional and great asset to us. (-1 point for always asking for a brew but never offering to make one).

📢 Free Heinz Food Giveaway – This Thursday! 🥫🛍️

This Thursday, we'll be giving away FREE Heinz tote bags filled with Heinz tins from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Clifton Street Community Centre.

Everyone is welcome to come along and collect a bag while stocks last.

Our weekly Labour councillors' surgery will also be taking place from 10:30am until 11:30am, so it's set to be a busy morning!

The group will walk from Leigh Miners Welfare Institute to Pennington Flash, stopping at the café for a brew ☕ before heading back to Leigh Miners to finish.

There’s no pressure and no expectations just men walking together, talking if they want to, having a laugh and being there for each other.

Sometimes taking that first step is the hardest part. So, if you know a man who could benefit from getting out, meeting others and simply being part of something positive, please share this post and invite them along. 💙
