Ann Marie Ellis

It is with deep sadness that we announce the funeral details for Ann.

Sadly on 21st August 2026 aged 59 in the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary.

Ann always loved to stand out from the crowd, especially when wearing pink and her sparkles. Please feel free to honour Ann by wearing something pink and sparkly.

Her funeral service will be held at St James Church, Poolstock, Wigan, WN3 5DZ on Friday 11th of September 2026 at 12noon

This will be followed by a family only committal at Wigan Crematorium Chapel, Cemetery Road, Wigan, WN3 4NN.

Ann's life will be celebrated at St Patrick's Rugby Club, 27 Harper Street, Wigan, WN1 3BN.

DIANE LOUISE LLOYD

Sadly, at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary on 17th August 2026, aged 51.

Diane’s funeral will take place on Monday 7th September 2026 at St Matthew’s Church at 12:30pm, followed by a committal at Greenacres Crematorium at 2pm.

Today we mourn the loss of a true sporting icon, Sir Billy Boston, who has passed away surrounded by his family.

Rugby League’s first knight, a Wigan legend, and "Everybody's Hero," his legacy on and off the field will endure for eternity.

Rest in peace, Sir Billy. 🍒⚪️
