EXPANSION - What do these words mean to you?

This morning I have woken up on the edge of expansion

A magical opportunity presented by the universe to up level once again 💫

For me and for YOU

Understanding the power of the MIND in health and wellbeing has been a game changer for myself and my clients

You see I knew all about the body on a physical level and a somatic level

I am a master of the energetics of wellness and soul wellness. I have been using my intuition, my psychic gifts and deep understanding of the energy running through or around the body alongside physiotherapy for many many years

The final piece of my puzzle was the MIND

Becoming a practitioner, master practitioner and trainer of NLP was the game changer for my own health AND my patients

The learnings and insights never end and today I have the privilege of up-levelling once again as I support Loretta Douglas NLP Master Trainer as a coach assistant on her NLP Train the Trainer Course

My mission is simple: To ripple this knowledge into cancer care. It's time to reframe cancer and see from different perspectives, isn't it? Because there is so much more to health than the physical

Three things I love to hear in my therapy room: a tummy rumbling or gurgling, a big yawn, and a deep sigh.

Why? Because these are all signs that your nervous system is beginning to shift out of survival mode and into its parasympathetic, rest and digest state, creating more space for your body to repair, regulate and recover.

Wellness begins when your body feels safe and your nervous system is calm.

It is not possible to experience wellness if you don't believe wellness is possible.

Just sit with these words for a moment and allow them to land, not only in your mind, also in every cell of your body.

I know you may be focused on your body right now, the symptoms you’re experiencing and the things they may be stopping you from doing.

What if wellness began with a different lens? Your mind and body are deeply connected, and sometimes the shifts you least expect create the biggest difference.

Hi, I’m Simone, a cancer wellness and mind body connection specialist, and a specialist oncology physiotherapist with over 30 years of experience.

For much of my life, I lived in survival mode. I experienced extreme panic attacks, anxiety, chronic pain and claustrophobia, without truly understanding why. Over time, I came to recognise that my body had been holding unprocessed fear from an experience I had at just 11 years old.

My personal journey led me to looking at health through a different lens. It taught me that our thoughts, emotions, nervous system and physical body are deeply connected.

Interwoven with my own personal health journey was my sister Debbie’s cancer diagnosis at just 28, shortly after she became a mum. At the time, I was the health professional who did not fully believe in integrative approaches because they were not part of my conventional training. And witnessing Debbie’s journey opened my eyes. When you see the impact of whole person support, it's impossible to unsee it.

Throughout my career, one thing has always stood out. Mindset matters. Emotional wellbeing matters. Feeling safe in your body matters.

This is not about pretending cancer is easy or suggesting you can think your way through it. It is about understanding the powerful, evidence informed ways you can support your wellbeing alongside medical care, through nervous system regulation, movement, emotional support, the mind body connection and other holistic practices.

I’m here to help you feel less overwhelmed by conflicting advice, more connected to yourself, and more confident about where to begin.

I'm not going to lie, scar therapy literally amazes me every time! I often tell patients to trust me, as I know it feels like I'm hardly doing anything. Scar therapy is a skill that is like magic. And here are the words that say it all, messages like this one which I received in an email last week.

Scar therapy works like magic because it works on all levels, mentally, physically and emotionally. Because cancer is much more than physical, isn't it? 💕

Did you know my mission to create The Wellness Mindset Collective started with my own health journey?

For most of my life, I lived in a state of chronic nervous system dysregulation, experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, chronic pain and claustrophobia on a daily basis!

Everything began to change when I started to understand the mind-body connection - this started for me with aromatherapy and the power of essential oils. The more I learned, the more I took action, the better I felt.

As I began to see changes in myself, I also started to notice the same patterns in my work in specialist cancer care. The patients who understood the mind-body connection often experienced better outcomes, especially when it came to their mindset and emotional wellbeing.

I've watched with wonder for years (30 years to be precise), and now I've created The Wellness Mindset Collective - a monthly membership where I teach you how to tap into the power of your mind-body connection as part of your toolbox towards wellness.

The biggest piece of advice I can give to anyone is this - Never underestimate the power of your mind-body connection. It is so underused in modern medicine and it is the most powerful FREE tool you have, when you understand how it works.

Journaling can be one of the most powerful free tools you have on your wellness path. Why? Because it supports you to see or gain self-awareness of patterns......

And self-awareness always presents opportunities, doesn't it?

If you are stuck for ideas then here's a few journal prompts for you to ponder over this week:
