As World Su***de Prevention Day approaches, we want to remind you of something important: you do not have to face difficult moments alone.

When life feels overwhelming, it can be hard to imagine that things might feel different. But feelings can change, support is available, and reaching out can be the first step towards making things feel a little more manageable.

You do not need to wait until you are at breaking point to ask for help. You are allowed to say you’re struggling. You are allowed to need support. And you are worthy of care.

šŸ’š If you’re in Surrey and need out-of-hours mental health support, Safe Havens are available to provide a safe, welcoming space when things feel too much.

Find out more about our Safe Havens here: https://catalystsupport.org.uk/services/mental-health/safe-haven/

🫶 Please share/repost or send this to someone who may need a reminder that they matter.

Getting back into a routine can feel harder than it looks šŸ—“ļø

Whether it’s returning to work, school, appointments or simply adjusting to a busier September, change can take time… and you don’t have to get everything right straight away.

Sometimes, small and gentle steps can make a big difference. Giving yourself more breathing room, keeping familiar comforts in your day and lowering the pressure to be productive can all help a new routine feel a little more manageable.

Be patient with yourself as you settle back in. There’s no need to rush.

September can bring a lot of change…

New routines, returning to work or school, busier schedules and the feeling that we should suddenly have everything ā€œback on trackā€ can all feel overwhelming.

If you’re finding this time of year difficult, remember that you don’t need to adjust overnight.

It’s okay to take things one day at a time, give yourself space to rest and be gentle with yourself while you find your rhythm again.

There’s no right way to feel about a new season, and you don’t have to manage everything alone.

Monday 31st August is .

We are proudly supporting this campaign as we remember without stigma those whose lives have been lost to overdose, acknowledge the grief of the people left behind, and raise awareness that overdose is preventable.

Behind every statistic is a person… someone loved, valued and remembered. And behind every loss is a ripple felt by families, friends and communities.

The 2026 theme, ā€˜25 years on. Still needed’, is a reminder that while overdose continues to affect people from every walk of life, there is hope. We know that timely access to care and support, education and life-saving interventions can reduce harm and save lives.

One of these interventions is naloxone — an emergency medicine that can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and give someone vital time to receive further medical help.

At Catalyst Support, we believe everyone deserves compassion, dignity and access to the support they need. By talking openly about overdose and challenging stigma, we can help more people access potentially life-saving support.

šŸ’œ Time to remember. Time to act.

Let’s challenge some common myths about depression šŸ’¬

Depression is one of the most common mental health conditions, yet many people still misunderstand what it’s really like to live with it.

The reality is that depression is far more than simply feeling sad. It can affect your energy, motivation, concentration, sleep and physical health, making everyday tasks feel much harder than they might appear.

It’s also important to remember that you can’t always tell when someone is struggling. Many people become very good at hiding how they’re feeling, which is why kindness and understanding matter so much.

By challenging these myths, we can help reduce stigma, encourage more open conversations and remind people that support is available.

šŸ’š Struggling with depression and looking for support?

If you’re aged 16+ and living in Surrey, our free online Depression & Anxiety Support Group offers a safe, welcoming space to connect with others experiencing similar challenges, with supportive discussions around wellbeing, coping strategies and shared experiences.

šŸ’» Online, Mondays, 1.30pm–3pm

If joining a group feels a little daunting, you can also access free one-to-one support with one of our Community Link Workers. They can support you to develop healthy coping strategies, set goals, build confidence in managing your wellbeing and connect with other services where appropriate.

Both services are free to access and welcome self-referrals.

Let’s bust some common myths about anxiety šŸ’¬

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health conditions, yet it’s still widely misunderstood. Misconceptions can make it harder for people to recognise when they need support or feel comfortable asking for it.

The truth is, anxiety can affect anyone. It doesn’t always look the way people expect, and it isn’t something someone can simply ā€œget overā€.

By challenging these myths, we can help reduce stigma, encourage understanding and remind people that they’re not alone.

🌱 We’re in store! Flourish Community Garden has been selected for the Waitrose Community Matters Fund at Waitrose Frimley.

If you shop at Waitrose Frimley, pick up a free green token at the checkout and drop it in our box. It costs nothing and takes seconds, but it could make a huge difference.

We’re hoping to raise enough to build a polytunnel for the garden! A weatherproof space where our community groups can keep growing, learning and supporting each other all year round, even through the winter months.
