Always a good reminder ❤️

I’ve noticed something over the past few years… 🌙

I tend to feel quite low around my birthday 🎂

And for a while, I didn’t really understand why 🤍
I thought maybe something was wrong with me… or that I should be feeling more grateful, more celebratory, more… happy

But instead of pushing it away this time, I turned inward 🌿

I got curious about what was actually coming up for me 🤍

The reflection…
The quiet comparisons…
The subtle feeling of “am I where I thought I’d be by now?”

And then this landed for me…

Sometimes it’s not that you are depressed…
it’s that your birthday quietly asks you to sit with yourself in a way you might usually avoid. 🤍

And that can feel… a lot.

There’s something about birthdays that soften the distractions
They hold up a mirror—gently, but honestly

And what we see isn’t always easy 🤍

So if you’ve ever felt a little low, a little off, or a little heavier than expected around your birthday…

you’re not alone 🤍

Maybe it’s not something to fix
Maybe it’s something to listen to

With softness 🤍
With compassion 🌿
With a little more space for yourself than usual ✨

✨ Sometimes everything looks fine… but it doesn’t quite feel that way inside.

From the outside, life might look good.
A career that’s going well.
Relationships that matter.
A life that’s full and functioning.

And yet somewhere underneath that… there can be a quiet sense of disconnection.

Maybe things feel a little flat.
Maybe you’re moving through the days on autopilot.
Maybe you’re the person everyone turns to — the one who seems to have it all together.

I often work with people like that.
Parents, founders, professionals, partners — people carrying a lot, often very well.

And interestingly, many of them start in the same place:
not entirely sure therapy is really for them.

And they realise how much space there is to understand themselves more deeply. 🌿

The most powerful thing I can do as a therapist isn’t to hand out answers… it’s to truly listen. 🌿

My clients aren’t puzzles to solve.

They are people with stories.
Bodies that remember.
Minds that have adapted to survive.

My role isn’t to sit above them with solutions.

It’s to sit beside them with curiosity. ✨

To listen deeply.
To reflect back what they might not yet see.
To offer a space where their own wisdom can grow louder than their pain.

Therapy, for me, isn’t about hierarchy.

It’s about partnership.

I bring my tools and training.
My client brings their lived experience.

And when we meet with respect, humility, and curiosity, that’s where the true change unfolds.

I’m not here to fix or control.

I’m here to witness that powerful moment when my client says:

💭 “Maybe I’ve had the strength all along.”

That’s what therapy means to me.

🌸 International Women’s Day 🌸

A gentle reminder today that strength doesn’t always look loud or visible.

Sometimes strength looks like:

✨ setting a boundary
✨ asking for help
✨ resting when you’re tired
✨ feeling your emotions instead of hiding them
✨ choosing healing even when it’s hard

Every woman’s journey is different.
Some are celebrating.
Some are surviving.
Some are quietly rebuilding their lives one step at a time.

All of it is worthy of compassion and honour 💛

Today we celebrate the courage it takes to keep showing up for yourself.
