Last Thursday was a wonderful reminder of the friendships that have been made at The Croft. 💜

Although Adena's stay with us was only a short one last year, she has remained very much a part of The Croft family. She now visits regularly to join in with our activities and, most importantly, to spend time with her good friend Peta, whom she became close to during her stay.

Peta was delighted to be invited to Adena's birthday lunch, and Adena, a former headteacher, was thrilled with her birthday present.

Happy Birthday, Adena! 🎉 Thank you for your continued friendship and for everything you do for us. We look forward to seeing you again at our Summer Fête on Saturday 8th August.

The “Chit Chat Club” or the “CCC” as its known in these parts of Finchfield just goes from one extreme to another, with a multitude of topics covered and constant memories evolving!

On Friday afternoon the conversations were started by the talk of Ben Nevis, and then cascaded into train journeys , coach journeys and the times we have spent in beautiful parts of the country.

The afternoon flew by with the lounge not slowing down with so many memories of holidays gone by. 🚂🌴🏖😎 Olivia even went all samba on us…🪇🪇

Last week, we were delighted to welcome the wonderfully talented Beth Sherburn for an afternoon of fantastic entertainment. 🎶💜

Our residents had a wonderful time singing along to their favourite songs, clapping, and moving to Beth's beautiful vocals. Her performance created a lovely atmosphere and was enjoyed by everyone.

A huge thank you to Beth for such a memorable afternoon.

Residents enjoyed a variety of gentle exercises and engaging activities designed to keep them active while helping to improve their coordination and mobility. Everyone joined in at their own pace, making it an enjoyable and inclusive session for all.

The Reminiscing board game proved to be a massive hit with residents last week!

Described as being a "nostalgic trivia and memory quiz", where players test their knowledge of fads, music, TV, movies, and historical events across various decades, everyone who took part had a brilliant afternoon, and commented how much they'd enjoyed playing.
