🐒🌿 A Wild Day Out at Trentham Monkey Forest! 🌿

This week we had a brilliant time getting up close to the Barbary macaques at Trentham Monkey Forest! 🐒

We were lucky enough to be there when the keepers were feeding the monkeys and even spotted a tiny baby riding on its mum's back! 🥰

It was lovely exploring the forest, watching the monkeys roam freely and seeing them in their natural surroundings. A fantastic day full of discovery, learning and wonderful memories! 💚

🍰 More delicious desserts at Next Step! 🥧

Our members have been busy in the kitchen making some tasty treats, including homemade cornflake tart and jam sponge – all made from scratch! 😋

Baking is about so much more than cooking. We're developing important life skills through counting, weighing, measuring and working together as a team to create delicious desserts for everyone to enjoy. 💪👩‍🍳

And the best bit? Getting to taste our creations! There are always plenty of smiles and clean plates all round! 🥰🍽️

🍽️ A Delicious Lunch with Friends! 🍔

Last week we enjoyed a fantastic lunch with our friends at The Newbridge Pub Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery ! 🥰

There was plenty of choice, with a delicious carvery or burgers from the main menu. Our carvery fans got to choose their favourite meat from the deck and help themselves to a selection of fresh vegetables. The burgers looked just as tasty! 😋

A wonderful day out, enjoying good food, making choices and spending time with friends. ❤️

🎉 SOLD OUT! Our Mini Afternoon Tea Packages! 🫖🍪

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported our mini enterprise to raise money for Compton Care! 💜

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve SOLD OUT and have raised an amazing £107 so far, with more money still to come in! 🙌

Our members have had a fantastic time baking their own homemade biscuits and putting the packages together. It’s been a brilliant opportunity to develop life skills, work as a team and raise money for such a wonderful cause. 💛

Keep an eye out for our FINAL TOTAL when we take our donation to Compton Hall! 💷💜

🌧️☕ Keeping Safe and Warm During Storm Austen! 🎤🎶

With Storm Austen bringing some wild weather, we made the most of our time indoors! Last week, we had a fantastic time singing our hearts out in the karaoke booth at Tenpin Walsall before retreating back to our base at Fallings Park Methodist Church to keep safe and warm. ❤️

We finished off with some delicious Costa Coffee hot chocolate topped with squirty cream and marshmallows — the perfect warming treat! ☕🍫😋

Sometimes the cosiest days are the best! 🥰

🎤🎶 When the weather lets you down, turn up the music! 🎶🎤

The weather forecast beat us yesterday and our pumpkin-picking plans had to be put on hold, but that didn’t stop the fun! 🎃🌧️

We wrapped up warm and headed to the karaoke booth at Tenpin Walsall, where we sang our hearts out and had an amazing time! 🕺🎵 We even finished with a Christmas number to lift our spirits! 🎄🎅

🍎🍫 Happy National Apple Day! 🍎

We’ve had a busy week celebrating lots of National Days and yesterday it was all about apples! 🍏

We chatted about where apples come from and all the delicious meals and treats we can make with them before heading into the kitchen to create our own chocolate-covered apples decorated with colourful sprinkles! 😋

A fantastic hands-on activity combining learning, life skills and, of course, a little bit of chocolatey fun! ❤️

☕🧁 Afternoon Tea for a Fantastic Cause! ❤️

Today we baked our very own homemade shortbread fingers and ginger biscuits to complete our Afternoon Tea Mini Packages in support of Compton Care! 🍪 We then worked hard putting everything together to make our packages look beautiful. 🎁

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. Your kindness is helping us raise money for this fantastic cause! 💕

There’s still time to grab a little treat, as we have a few packages left! 😋 If you’d like to sample our bakes while supporting Compton Care, get in touch before they’re all gone!

🌱🌻 Celebrating the End of Seed Gathering Season! 🌻🌱

21st October marks the end of the seed-gathering season, and we've been busy in our sensory garden collecting seeds to grow again next year! 🌱

We've gathered poppy seeds, sunflower seeds and beans, ready to plant when the time is right. We can't wait to see what grows next year! 🌼🌻

We also enjoyed packaging up some of our seeds to share with our friends from the Fallings Park Methodist Church Knit and Natter group. It's lovely to share a little bit of our garden with others and spread the joy of growing! 💚

A great way to celebrate our garden, learn new skills and look forward to another year of growing together. 🌿

🌟 A Fantastic Day Out in Telford Centre 🌟

Our members had a brilliant day exploring Telford! 💙 After arriving as a group, everyone enjoyed some valuable 1:1 time with their support workers, choosing their own activities and enjoying some independence.

From bouncing at Flip Out Telford 🤸 to shopping 🛍️, we packed lots of fun into the day before coming back together for lunch!
