When did you last check your blood pressure?

We check our phones, diaries and bank balances regularly – but our blood pressure can easily get forgotten.

This Know Your Numbers! Week, we're encouraging people across Worcester to take a few minutes to check theirs.

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, so you may not know you have it. Knowing your numbers can help identify high blood pressure early.

You can check your blood pressure at home, or ask your local pharmacy or GP practice about getting it checked.

When did you last check yours?

Cervical Screening Awareness Week (15th-21st June)

This Cervical Screening Awareness Week we are sharing information on cervical screening and tips to make the appointment easier.

Cervical screening (which used to be called a smear test) is a free health test on the NHS to help prevent cervical cancer.

It checks for a virus call high-risk Human Papillomavirus (HPV). If high-risk HPV is present, then the sample will be checked for cervical cell changes. It is not a test to diagnose cervical cancer. Cervical screening is estimated to save around 5000 lives a year in the UK.

If your screening appointment is due, please contact your GP practice to get your appointment booked.

This Cervical Screening Awareness Week, we are sharing information on cervical screening and tips to make the appointment easier.
