Have you met our wonderful Juliet yet? 🤩

Hello! My name is Juliet.

I studied Podiatry at the University of Wolverhampton and also hold a degree in Applied Biological Science. My life long passion for science and healthcare has always driven my interest in understanding the body and helping people maintain mobility, comfort, and independence through excellent foot care.

⭐ HCPC registered

My main areas of interest are general podiatry and diabetic foot care, with experience working within the NHS supporting patients with a wide range of foot health needs. I am particularly passionate about rehabilitation, prevention, and helping patients better understand the importance of foot health in their everyday lives.

Before beginning my career in podiatry, I worked in education, and that passion for teaching has remained with me throughout my professional journey. I strongly believe that patient education is an essential part of treatment, and I enjoy empowering people with the knowledge and confidence to care for their feet and improve their overall wellbeing.

I am committed to continuing professional development and regularly attend conferences, training sessions, and professional events to ensure my knowledge and clinical skills remain current. I also dedicate time to research, reading society updates, and keeping up to date with developments in podiatry and healthcare. I am proud to be a member of the Royal College of Podiatry.

Outside of clinic life, I am a country girl at heart and love nothing more than roaming the wilderness with my family and our dog at weekends. Spending time outdoors reminds me just how important healthy feet are in allowing us to enjoy the activities we love most.

I am incredibly excited to have this opportunity to work alongside Stephanie and the team and look forward to supporting patients using both compassionate care and the latest technology in podiatry practice.

The hill I will die on for athletes foot infections

so your skin is peeling it’s itchy. You’ve got red spots all over the place and you want to get rid of this athletes foot so you start using tea tree oil. It makes no difference. It annoys your skin and you don’t know what you’re doing wrong.

Take it for me as a Podiatrist this is everything that’s wrong

The most common problem is that you’re not putting it in the right place even if you’re using a medicated treatment for athletes foot you need to make sure that you cover the whole foot up your ankle that means the top the bottom in between your toes on the edges of the toes and doing both feet the biggest mistake people do is just treat the small area that they see and then they stop treating it when it goes away

The key secret is to do it until it clears up and then for two weeks more that will stop it coming back

Be sure to send this to a friend who needs this advice

Did you know a podiatrist can tell a lot about your circulation just by checking your foot pulses? 👣🩺

One of the most important parts of a foot assessment is checking blood flow — we’re feeling for the strength, rhythm, and regularity of the pulses in your feet.

Why does it matter?
Poor circulation can affect healing, sensation, skin health, and overall foot function. Changes in your pulses can sometimes be an early sign that something deeper is going on ⚠️

At your podiatry appointment, we’re not just looking at your skin or nails — we’re assessing the health of your feet from the inside out.

If you’ve noticed cold feet, cramping, slow healing, numbness, or changes in skin colour, it’s worth getting checked.

Cracked heels aren’t just cosmetic — those deep fissures can bleed, become painful, and even get infected if you leave them untreated.

Here’s exactly what we’d do:

1️⃣ Soak
Warm water for 10 minutes. Skip harsh soaps — you want the skin softened, not stripped.

2️⃣ File
Use a foot file or pumice stone on damp skin only (never dry). The goal is to reduce thick callus gently, not remove everything at once.

3️⃣ Apply a high-strength urea cream
This is the game changer. Urea helps break down hard, dead skin while drawing moisture deep into the heel at the same time.

The product we recommend and use? Foot Mender 👣
Its urea-based formula helps soften cracked skin and repair dry heels properly.

4️⃣ Socks on overnight
Don’t skip this step. Cotton socks help lock the cream in so it absorbs instead of rubbing off on your sheets.

Do this consistently for a week and your heels will look and feel dramatically better ✨
