Describe your show in one sentence.
Leela: Music to start your day with a smile and a spring in your step, uplifting joyful and fun.

What kind of sounds or artists influence your show?
Leela: Music that I loved growing up was disco, 80s pop, old school hip hop, rave and funky house...all these influence what music I play now. I love a positive uplifting vocal, a rave tune that takes you back to a field in the early 90s and a funky beat you can't help but dance to. I love drums so anything with percussion also, like Afro House.

What track are you loving at the moment?
Leela: I am really loving Moving to the Sun by Ultra Naté & HUGEL

Where can people catch you outside Sweet Frequencies?
Leela: I run monthly morning sober raves (silent disco style) at Sea Lanes Brighton and at Coast in Worthing, I also play at Coast some evenings and am excited to be playing at Waterbear Music Bar (Manchester St) for Brighton Pride.

What should listeners expect from your next show?
Leela: Funky tunes that make you want to dance and maybe even go hug someone.

Yes yes yes! After the success of our first morning dance last weekend we have a date for the next one!
Summer Solstice! Come celebrate the longest day of the year with me on Coasts roof terrace dancing to good tunes!

It’s silent disco style so we don’t wake the neighbours! You can expect, disco/ Afro/tribal/ classic/ tech house & a few sing a long tracks thrown in 😊

It’s going to be a joyful way to honour this special day!
