Meet The Team Tuesday's!👋
Dr Tanisha Sharma is one of our new salaried GP's. She has just moved to York from Leeds, where she completed her GP training. She has previously worked in York, Hull and Birmingham too! Outside of work, she loves to travel both in and out of the UK. She is a qualified scuba diver and has recently been enjoying making pizzas in her new pizza oven. Tanisha is very excited to work with everyone at MyHealth!

Did you know that anyone can attend the Dementia Coffee Mornings at Goldsborough Manor Care Home?

Held every three months, these friendly and welcoming sessions offer support to people living with dementia, those caring for a loved one, and anyone who has lost a family member to dementia.

The sessions are run by Goldsborough Manor Care Home, with a member of the MyHealth team attending to offer additional information, advice and support.

The next coffee morning will be held on:

Dr Belshaw grew up in North East before training in Birmingham. Following training, he worked across London for 3 years before moving back up North to complete GP training in York. He has a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine completing his diploma in 2022. Outside of work, he enjoys a myriad of sports with particular interest in football and mountain biking and spending plenty of time with his young family.

Cervical screening can save lives 💙

Cervical screening (previously called a smear test) is a quick and simple test that checks the health of your cervix and helps prevent cervical cancer.

It’s offered to women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 64, with invitations sent every 5 years 📅

At your appointment, a small sample of cells is taken from your cervix by a nurse or doctor. It only takes a few minutes, and you’ll be supported throughout to make you as comfortable as possible.

Even if you feel well and have no symptoms, it’s important to attend your screening when invited – it’s one of the best ways to protect your health

💊 Important Information for Our Dispensing Patients

We've been made aware that some of our patients have received letters from online pharmacies inviting them to switch their NHS prescriptions.

We'd like to reassure our patients and clear up any confusion:
❌ This letter is not from MyHealth
❌ It is not sent by the NHS
❌ You do not need to change pharmacy unless you choose to

If you complete and return the form, your prescription nomination will be changed to another pharmacy. This means:

📍 Your medication will no longer be dispensed by MyHealth
📍 You may no longer be able to collect your prescriptions from our dispensary until your nomination is changed back

As a dispensing GP practice, we rely on our dispensing patients to help us continue providing this valuable local service.

If you live more than one mile (1.6 km) from your nearest community pharmacy, you may be eligible to have your NHS prescriptions dispensed directly by us.

Our dispensary offers a convenient, local service, with our team working closely alongside your GP to support your care.
