An interactive and experiential CPD day for Therapeutic Riding Coaches to deepen your understanding of movement.

It is not just where we sit. It is how we move. Look again. Feel the difference. Explore the possibilities.

As Therapeutic Riding Coaches, we know that the horse's movement is central to what we do. But how often do we stop to consider how positioning, support and the quality of that movement influence the rider's experience? Join us for an interactive and experiential CPD day that invites you to look beyond familiar approaches, challenge your observations and deepen your understanding of movement.

🇮🇪🐴 **A wonderful Irish presence in Prague!**

What a privilege it was to represent **Ireland and EquiSense** at the **HHRF–HETI–CZU International Prague Symposium 2026**!

It was an inspiring few days, full of energy, enthusiasm, shared knowledge, collaboration and, above all, connection.

Bringing together researchers, clinicians, educators and equine-assisted practitioners from around the world, the symposium provided a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas, explore emerging research and reflect on the future of Equine Assisted Services.

It was particularly special to be part of such a strong Irish representation, with colleagues contributing their expertise, experience and research to the international conversation. 🇮🇪

I was delighted to contribute to the discussions as an expert panellist, sharing perspectives from our clinical work in Equine Assisted Occupational Therapy and exploring how we can continue to strengthen the connection between research and everyday practice.

Another highlight was spending time **in person with fellow lecturers and students from the Svitání Academy**. Although we work and learn together internationally, there is something very special about finally being in the same room, sharing conversations, ideas and experiences face to face!

I came home feeling energised, encouraged and grateful to be part of such a passionate international community, all working towards a deeper understanding of the relationship between horses and humans and the potential of equine-assisted practice.

A huge thank you to the organisers, speakers and everyone who contributed to such a vibrant and thought-provoking event.

And lovely to see the Irish contribution recognised in *The Irish Field*! 🇮🇪

We are absolutely thrilled that our project, “Horses at the Heart of OT,” was shortlisted for the prestigious Ann Beckett Award and acknowledged by the AOTI at their annual conference in Cork last week.
Ann Beckett was Ireland’s first professionally qualified Occupational Therapist, and this award celebrates her legacy of creative, practical, and deeply meaningful patient care. To have our Intensive Equine-Assisted OT clinics recognized in her honor means the world to us—huge thanks to our amazing team, our clients, and our wonderful horses….

When working with vulnerable children and adults it is crucial to be able to demonstrate the highest standards in safeguarding, education and qualifications, experience, equine welfare and health and safety. We are delighted to have been accepted as a member organisation of the Equine Assisted Services partnership recognising the highest standards of practice in Equine Assisted Services.
