📢 We’re Hiring: Medical Receptionist (Maternity Cover)

We are currently seeking a reliable and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our GP practice on a maternity cover contract (minimum 1 year), starting end of June 2026.

Position Details:

Minimum 11 hours per week
Usual working hours: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Must be available between 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Occasional Saturday availability may be required
Flexibility to cover annual leave and sick days is essential

About the Role:
You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing a professional and welcoming service while managing administrative tasks in a busy GP setting.

Requirements:

Good computer skills
Strong communication and organisational abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience is an advantage but not essential (full training can be provided)

You may receive the vaccine if you are:
• Aged 80 or over
• Aged 18 or older and living in a long-term care facility for older adults

Vaccination helps protect you and those around you from serious illness.

During the month of March we had:

📅 23 Doctor appointments marked as DNA (Did Not Attend)
📅 22 Nurse appointments marked as DNA

That’s 45 missed appointments that could have been offered to other patients in need.

Please remember, there is a €10 charge for missed appointments (no shows).

If you can’t attend, we kindly ask that you cancel in advance so we can offer the slot to someone else.
