Have you ever reached the point of being sick and tired of constantly decluttering, moving stuff around, searching for stuff?

Some people can declutter and organise their homes by themselves but the vast majority can't.

Why?

Well it is NOT because you are lazy or inept!

It is usually due to feeling overwhelmed, where to start, decision fatigue, the emotional attachment to our stuff, the mental gymnastics we play in our minds over fear about giving stuff away, historical issues around stuff and lack or possible hoarding!

Give yourself a break!
Be kinder to yourself!

Hire me as a helper and sounding board to get past all of these mental blocks! I have helped hundreds and hundreds of clients achieve their goals and transform their lives!

It will be the best investment you will ever make in yourself.

Just drop me a message or email me @gmail.com

Look forward to working with you πŸ₯°

Hope you have a great day!

You may wonder what does Albert Einstein have to do with decluttering and organising?

His Three Rules of Work sum it up...

Out of clutter find simplicity;
From discord find harmony:
In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.

Out of clutter find simplicity

Remove unnecessary distractions to reveal the core
truth or most efficient path forward.

From discord find harmony

Decluttering your home reduces stress and creates mental clarity.

In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity

Decluttering can be stressful but it also provides you with an opportunity to let go of what is holding up back, to live a freer live and to find your true authentic self in the process!

If you need help to be more Albert, just dm me or drop me an email!

I have worked with many hoarders in Ireland. The rooms no one can enter. Chaos in the kitchen. No one gets invited over due to shame and guilt. However, a slow, compassionate approach with my clients can absolutely turn this around!

Then I think maybe there is a little bit of contained hoarding in all of us!

How many empty glass jars do you have with no direct purpose in mind?

How about that stash of fancy bags you are saving for the right occasion?

Same for fancy boxes!

Then there is our collection of unused notebooks!

The growing pile of unread books!

The saved magazines we were thinking of using in a creative process...but they have been there for 2 years!

Make today your day to whittle these down so there is less to store and be responsible for!

It is the little micro tasks that we tackle on a Sunday that can declutter and organise our minds for a better week ahead!

Fun fact a lot of the items we buy based on price and not purpose are the ones we rarely if ever wear or use!

If you check your wardrobe now, how many items were "bargain buys" with the tags still on??

We can all be hoodwincked into believing that sale items will add value to our lives. In reality, they often just create clutter.

If this sounds like you, guess how you have been hoodwinked?

Items on sale often have red stickers. Why? Because psychologically we have been programmed that red means stop. We know to stop driving when we come to a red traffic light. Stop signs on the road are in red.

So when we see overhead sale banners and signs, it signals stop in our minds. Plus we all like to get a bargain.

However, just remind yourself that if you are buying purely on price and not purpose, it will most likely become clutter!

Hope you a great clutter free day!

Clutter has been scientifically proven to negatively affect women's mental health and wellbeing!

Why?

Not being able to find what we need when we need it, can cause unnecessary stress and anxiety.

Decision fatigue from having so many options but none of them quite work.

Feeling overwhelmed by the responsibilities of owning so much stuff.

Our sense of self identity gets lost in the amount of stuff we own, a lot of which does not truely represent our true self.

Extra storage is not the answer!

Decluttering is!

Decluttering and donating away what no longer serves us, represents our true selves or no longer suits the current season of our lives is the answer!

Does this resonate?

Such a gorgeous sunny morning! It finally feels like Summer is arriving πŸ₯°

On days like this, a day trip sounds like a fantastic idea. But where to go and what to do?

Today's Saturday Sorting is about making our bucket list of trips for the Summer. Making a list now will reduce decision fatigue on those sunny days where you fancy a road trip or outing!

My list so far includes:
Beyond the Trees, Avondale
Botanical Gardens
Howth Cliff Cruise
Glendalough
Killiney Hill
Bohernabreena Reservoir
Greenan Maze

Any other suggestions? Whats on your list? πŸ€—
