the temple of solomon is the most analyzed structure in esoteric tradition.

most people analyze the building. the initiates analyzed what the building was describing.

every measurement in the temple maps precisely to the human form. the outer court is the physical body. the inner court is the mind. the holy of holies is the pineal gland. the innermost chamber where the presence of god dwells. the priests who entered it once a year were not entering a room. they were entering a state of consciousness produced when the sacred oil completes its circuit. they built the building large enough and beautiful enough that most people would look at it. and never look at what it was describing.
