❤️ A Wonderful Community Partnership ❤️

Dungarvan and Kilrossanty Community First Responders (CFR) groups were delighted to join forces with Alan Daly of Bridgie Terries to make a fantastic contribution to the local community.

A huge thank you to Alan for sponsoring an AED and an outdoor wall unit, ensuring this life-saving equipment is accessible to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This is an incredible gift to the community and a wonderful example of how community spirit, generosity and partnership can make a real difference. Having an AED readily available can be vital in an emergency, and we are so grateful to Alan for helping to make this possible. 🙏❤️

The AED is now available at Bridgie Terries, 24/7, and will be maintained jointly by Dungarvan and Kilrossanty CFR groups, ensuring it remains ready for use when it is needed most.

A sincere thank you to Alan for his generosity and support. Together, through strong community partnerships, we can help save lives. ❤️

We are delighted to announce that our new Solar AED is now officially installed at the castle side of Clonea! ☀️❤️
This vital project was originally the brilliant idea of the Dungarvan Community First Responders, who recognised the massive need to set up emergency equipment right here at the castle side.
Getting an initiative like this off the ground takes incredible teamwork. We want to extend a massive thank you to Kate O'Mahony for her extraordinarily generous contribution of €2,000, which gave us the vital kickstart we needed to get this moving. We also want to say a huge thank you to the public—our amazing community—whose donations helped us bridge the gap and meet our final fundraising target.
A special thanks goes to David Abbott, who worked closely with Waterford City and County Council to install the base of the machine, just before Heart Safety Solutions came down to finish the installation and get everything fully up and running.
Having a Solar AED in this busy part of Clonea is incredibly important and brings massive peace of mind to locals, visitors, and everyone passing by.
We will be hosting an official unveiling of the machine very soon, and we want to invite everyone who supported, donated, and helped us make this happen! We are so looking forward to celebrating this achievement together and continuing to get involved with our fantastic public. We will also provide training on the use of an AED on the day.
Stay tuned for date and time details—we can't wait to see you there! 🎉

❤️ What a September for Dungarvan Community First Responders! ❤️

September has been a very busy and very special month for Dungarvan Community First Responders, and we were delighted to be part of three fantastic community events.

We were delighted to be asked to join the Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA LGFA One club Family Fun Day, where we had a wonderful afternoon meeting families, chatting to members of our community and raising awareness about CPR, AEDs and the importance of knowing what to do in an emergency. It was fantastic to see so many people getting involved.

We were also delighted to attend Meet the Heroes, organised by Autism Friendly Dungarvan. Events like this are so important, giving children and families the opportunity to meet emergency responders in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We were delighted to be part of such a wonderful day.

And, of course, September also saw us celebrate a very special milestone — our 4th Birthday! 🎂🚑

We celebrated in Dungarvan Shopping Centre, where we had the opportunity to meet members of the public, demonstrate CPR, raise awareness about AEDs and talk about the work of Dungarvan Community First Responders.

Four years of volunteering, responding, fundraising, raising awareness and supporting our community. We are incredibly proud of everything our volunteers have achieved and extremely grateful for the continued support we receive from the people of Dungarvan and surrounding areas.

September also gave us the opportunity to attend Respond2026, where Lorraine and Tara attended alongside Fiona from Kilrossanty CFR. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet other Community First Responders, share experiences and learn from the incredible work being carried out by CFR groups throughout Ireland.

A huge thank you to everyone who invited us, supported us, stopped to chat, took part in our CPR demonstrations and continues to support Dungarvan Community First Responders.

We are so proud to be part of our community and look forward to continuing the work we do.

Proud Volunteers – Saving Lives Together. ❤️🚑
