The Irish Eagala Network is delighted to be hosting the Eagala Fundamentals training this week in Kilcloon, Co. Meath.
We are looking forward to five days of experiential learning, practising the Eagala Model alongside our equine partners and deepening our understanding of this powerful approach. The training brings together practitioners from around the world, reflecting the truly global nature of the Eagala community.
Whether you are new to the model or an experienced practitioner looking to refresh and deepen your skills, we are excited to learn, connect, and grow together throughout the week.

Wishing everyone a rewarding and inspiring training experience!

Caitríona O'Meara & Louise Yourell represented the Irish Network of Equine Assisted Psychotherapists at the IACP Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherpy's annual conference ‘The Many Faces of Love: Connection, Heart, and Healing in Counselling and Psychotherapy’ ❤️💕

They spoke about the healing and therapeutic nature of animals and particular equines- what the research says and what they have found in their work utilising the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association.

Thank you .ie - Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy for allowing us to be the voices of the equines we work with and for giving us the platform to build awareness of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy 🥰

It can be difficult for people to find the right mental health support at the right time. Knowing what services exist and how they work makes all the difference.

This week, Caitríona (kequinetherapiesandcounselling) and Shelly (Rag Tree EAL) attended MTU’s Community of Practice at Sli Eile titled Nature-based approaches to mental health in Social Care Work.

They had the opportunity to meet a wide range of social care professionals and share an in-depth presentation on the equine-assisted services available across Ireland, with a particular focus on the Eagala mental health model.

There was great interest, thoughtful discussion, and genuine curiosity from services looking for additional, innovative ways to support the people they work with.

We’re always delighted to connect with professionals who want to learn more about how equine-assisted psychotherapy can complement existing supports and offer a different pathway to healing.
