Clarecare Services delivered by Clarecare are based on the philosophy of working in a supportive role with people to assist them with solutions to their problems.

Clarecare offices are based in Ennis, Killaloe, Kilrush, Ennistymon & Shannon. Clarecare provides three core services throughout County Clare - Addiction Treatment, Care of the Older Person (which includes Home Support, Social Clubs and Social Work for Older Person Services) and Family Support Services. Clarecare also operate Thrift Shops at our centres in Ennis and Killaloe with opening hours 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. RCN 20012847

We’ve been getting to know the wonderful people who use our Over 65s Club service — and what a lovely way to start some really interesting conversations! 💬❤️

From favourite memories and life stories to hobbies, hidden talents and the things that make them smile, it’s been brilliant finding out a little more about the people behind the service.

A huge thank you to Giulia, one of our European Solidarity Volunteers, for putting this together and helping us create such a lovely opportunity to connect, chat and get to know our service users even better. 🥰

Because sometimes, the best conversations start with simply asking, “Tell me a little about yourself…” 💕

What a wonderful project the Profound Treasury at Clarecare’s K Club in Killaloe has been. 💛

Supported by Creative Communities and Clare County Council the project brought people together through creative facilitation, inspiring workshops and the talents of local artists.

🌿 Heritage at Risk – National Heritage Week 2026 🌿

Over the past week, our Over 65s clubs have been exploring this year’s National Heritage Week theme: Heritage at Risk.

Together, our groups have reflected on the traditions and customs that have shaped our communities, how our culture has changed over the years, and the heritage that may be at risk of being lost.

It has been a joyous, thought-provoking and wonderfully nostalgic experience — filled with stories, memories, laughter and plenty of shared experiences. ❤️

We’ve loved taking part, and we’re delighted to share a short glimpse of what our groups have created.

Are you looking to build your skills, gain valuable work experience, and make a difference in your community?

Clarecare is currently recruiting for Community Employment (CE) positions in:
📍 Ennis
📍 Ennistymon
📍 Kilrush

Essential Requirements:
✅ Aged 21 years or over
✅ In receipt of a Department of Social Protection Social Welfare payment for one year or more
✅ CE placements are for a minimum of 52 weeks, working 19.5 hours per week

These are developmental opportunities, with full training provided. Participants will also complete work-related accredited training to support their future career prospects.
