To Our Dad Ken Warren, On Your 70th Birthday Ken Warren
Seven decades of a life well-lived, of strength and steady grace, never missed a day of work in your life as mamma said. Even if you were dying with the flu you would still pick up the tools and go to work to provide for us all.
Today we celebrate the man who holds the highest place.
A master of your craft and trade, and gifted with your hands.
You built a life of honest work, where pride and honor stands.
Five generations strong and true, the legacy lives on,
The skills you passed to your two sons Ian and Matthew, a bond that will stay forever.
A talented carpenter by trade, you taught us how to strive,
To earn our way, respect our word, and help each other thrive.
Granny Joanie and Grandad Matty loved you through and through,
They idolised their brilliant boy, and we see why they did, too.
Alongside our dear Mamma Sarah, you guided us and loved us with care,
Whenever we built up a dream, you were always standing there.
From starting brand new businesses to fixing what was broke,
We found our strength within the wise and gentle words you spoke.
You taught us how to love ourselves, to give respect to all,
And backed it with a boundless love that catches when we fall.
So thank you, Dad, for everything, for all you do and give,
You showed us what a family means, and how a life should live.
We love you far beyond what words or verses can convey,
And celebrate the incredible man we're proud to match today.
Here’s to your health and happiness, to longevity and peace,
May the laughter and the funny trips we take together never cease.
Happy 70th Birthday, Dad—our anchor and our pride,
We are blessed beyond all measure to have you by our side. 🎈🦋
