HeartBeat is a voluntary support group for those with heart disease, or those who have had a cardiac event in their lives, to get back to living as full a life as possible. HeartBeat is run by heart patients for heart patients and their carers.

Last night's meeting welcomed Michael Dillane (pharmacist with Kennelly's Pharmacy) as our guest speaker. This was a most informative meeting, and Michael has taken over from Owen Daly and gave us a great overview on all medicinal problems. The question and answer session shed light on various queries that arose. Welcome Michael and thank you for your advice!

Another successful Rid & Bid Fundraiser event for HeartBeat is completed again this year!

The HeartBeat Killarney Trustees & Team wish to take this space to say THANKS to:

* those who so generously donated re-saleable goods, from useful items to the spectacular!
* our resolute Collection Team who ignored the cold, rain, and wind to be on hand at our new collection site to accept donations.
* those in our Preparation Team who worked like beavers to prepare all donations ready for sale.
* our Raffle Team, with our online sales manager Tony Dunne of Kingdom Media & members Kathleen, ably assisted by Donal, who managed the printed ticket sales.
* all the members of our Sales Team who sparkled under pressure, and to our Re-stocking Team who worked tirelessly each day to keep our tables looking great!
* HeartBeat Nurse Anna who ran a Free Blood Pressure & Pulse Check service for 3 busy hours on Sunday.
* all who came in numbers to buy, donate and offer encouragement and support to this HeartBeat event.

A special word of thanks to David O'Sullivan of O'Sullivan's Cycles Killarney without whose generosity the raffle could not have taken place, and a special thanks and gratitude goes to Paul and Noreen of the Killarney Outlet Centre without whose help and encouragement this event would not have happened.

Congratulations to our raffle draw prize winner Aoife O’Donoghue from Muckross, who's winning ticket was drawn out by Killarney Outlet Centre manager Paul Sherry. 🎟👏🏼

Another great day over at our Rid & Bid fundraiser event in the Killarney Outlet Centre.

We are here until 6pm today so pop on over and pick up some bargains while supporting a great cause!

Thanks to our volunteers yesterday on our first day of our Rid & Bid fundraiser. A great success and lots of people helped to find a bargain or two!

We are back here again today from 10am until 6pm, so get out of the rain and come and have a browse... and maybe buy a raffle ticket and enter our prize draw to win a fabulous electric bike worth €2000!
