The peaceful death has occurred of Mary Meehan, Glencoagh, Mountcharles,(Aged 105 years) at Donegal Community Hospital, Donegal Town, in the company of her daughters Carol & Marie.

Predeceased by her husband Willie, her parents John & Mary Gillespie, her much loved son in law, brothers and sisters.

Sadly missed by her daughters Carol (Julian), Marie (Kevin), Margaret (Paddy), Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, Great-great-grandchildren, her sister Susan in Chicago, nieces & nephews, extended family, friends & neighbours.

May She Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her late residence (F94 F7D8) on Monday 27th & Tuesday 28th July, from 3pm until 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday 29th July, at the Church of the Sacred Heart Mountcharles, at 11am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Donations in lieu of flowers to Donegal Community Hospital, Donegal Town.

It is with great sadness that the death has occurred of Dessie Gallagher, Darney Heights, Bruckless, Co. Donegal.

Peacefully at Donegal Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family & the exceptional caring staff of Donegal Community Hospital.

Predeceased by his beloved son Brendan (Kathleen), his parents Patrick & Margaret, his brothers Patsy & Liam and sisters Molly, Bridget, Eileen & Greta.

Much loved by his devoted wife Bernie. Loving father to Pauric (Janet), Sinead (Kenny), Claire (Hugh), Nuala (Ciaran) & Rory (Claire).
His cherished grandchildren Caroline, Shaun, Brendan Og, Desmond, Christian, Clodagh, Nicole, Darragh, Karla, Rory, Gavin, Ryan & his adored great-grandson Finn.

Deeply regretted by his sisters Eithne Byrne & Ita Harvey, his sisters-in-law Eilis Gallagher & Philomena Gallagher, nieces & nephews, extended family & friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

His remains will repose at Gallagher's Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles (F94 X02N) on Saturday 25th July from 2pm to 8pm.

Reposing at his late residence, Darney Heights, Bruckless (F94 V3K6) on Sunday 26th July from 2pm – 8pm.

A one way system will be in place, entering off the main road & exit out on to the Calhame road.
A shuttle bus service will operate from the Church carpark in Bruckless to the wake house on Sunday.

Funeral Mass on Monday 27th July at 12pm at The Church of St Joseph & St Conal, Bruckless, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Family Acknowledgement & Month's Mind Mass

The family of the late Bernard (Bernie) Meehan, Drumconnor, Mountcharles, Co. Donegal, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to everyone who sympathised with us on the recent and very sad loss of Bernie, a devoted husband, father, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend.

We are deeply grateful for the kindness, support and compassion shown to us throughout Bernie's illness, wake and funeral. Our heartfelt thanks to all who travelled from near and far to offer their condolences, attend the wake and funeral, and support us in so many ways during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity will always be remembered.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, messages of condolence online, attended the funeral in person or joined us online. We are grateful to all who made donations to the Donegal Hospice in Bernie's memory to the total of €1,200.

A big thank you to Willie, Joey, John James, Jason, Shane and Seamus for taking control of the traffic at the wake house and again the morning of the funeral.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Liam Boyle for his kindness, support and for celebrating such a beautiful Funeral Mass and reciting the Rosary each evening. We also thank Fr. Pat McGarvey for concelebrating the mass, Kay the sacristan, Dave for the heartfelt eulogy and everyone who participated in the liturgy, bringing up the gifts and symbols.
Our sincere thanks to Tom McHugh and Lauren Hegarty for the beautiful and comforting music during the Funeral Mass, and to Gary McNern for the moving tribute on the bagpipes at the graveside.

A heartfelt thank you to the Dublin to Drimarone Cyclists for the guard of honour.

Thanks to An Garda Siochana for the Garda es**rt to the Church.

Thanks to Darren McDaid and staff at Inver Community Centre for beautiful meal served after the funeral.

We are deeply grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Oncology Unit at Letterkenny University Hospital, Donegal Hospice and the Palliative Care Team for the exceptional care, compassion and dignity shown to Bernie throughout his illness. We also wish to sincerely thank Dr. Marie Moy and all the staff at Mountcharles Health Centre, together with the staff of Village Pharmacy, Mountcharles, for their outstanding care, kindness and support.

Our sincere thanks to Andrew and all at Gallagher Funeral Directors for the professional, caring and dignified manner in which they guided and supported us throughout the funeral arrangements.

We also thank Willie and James for preparing Bernie's final resting place with such care and respect.

To our good friends, neighbours and local businesses who provided the lovely food, refreshments and practical support during the wake, we are deeply thankful for your generosity and thoughtfulness.

The death has occurred of Brian Monaghan, (Affectionately known as the Crow), Drimarone, Letterbarrow. Peacefully at Donegal Community Hospital, Donegal Town.

Predeceased by his parents Johnny and Annie.
Lovingly remembered by Sherry, cousins, good neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at Gallaghers Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles (F94X02N), on Tuesday 14th July and Wednesday 15th July from 5pm until 8pm.

Removal from there on Thursday 16th July, going to the Church of the Holy Redeemer Drimarone, for 11am Funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

The death has occurred of Annette (Anne Bernadette) Dunphy (née Muldoon) of Glebe Crest, Donegal Town, formerly Durrow, Co. Laois and Doonan, Donegal Town died on 8th July 2026.

Deeply regretted by her brother Séamus, her sons and daughters; Séamus, Maura, Leo, Annette & Edel, her sons-in-law and daughters-in law, Brian, Marcus, Louise & Tiziana, her grandchildren; Rory, Leo-Joe, Sarah, James, John, Chiara, Ciara, Conall, Conor, Bridget, Ella, Cillian, and Hugo.

Pre-deceased by her husband Jim, her parents, Joseph and Mary, her brothers Frank, Seán, Father Paddy, Father Leo, Eamonn, her sisters Mary and Theresa, her grandson Baby Eoin and her niece, Regina.

Family Acknowledgement for the Late Ann Rose, Glencoagh, Mountcharles.

The family of the late Ann Rose wish to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.
We are deeply grateful for the kindness, support and compassion shown to us during Ann's wake and funeral. Our heartfelt thanks to all who travelled from near and far to offer their condolences and support in so many ways throughout the wake and funeral. Your kindness and generosity will always be remembered.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who sent Mass cards, messages of sympathy and to those who joined the Funeral Mass online.
A special word of thanks to Fr. Sweeney for his guidance, spiritual support and for celebrating the beautiful Funeral Mass. We also wish to thank Fr. Liam Boyle, Fr. Patsy McDermott, Fr. Paul Farren and Fr. Shaun Doherty for their concelebration, and all who participated in the liturgy.
Our sincere thanks to Emma Warren for the beautiful music, and to Marie Gallagher, sacristan, for all her help and assistance.
We are deeply grateful to Dr. Moy and Dr. Dunphy of Mountcharles Health Centre, together with Orla, Palliative Care Nurse, Jackie and Yvonne, Community Nurses, and the staff of Village Pharmacy, Mountcharles, for the exceptional care, kindness and compassion shown to Ann throughout her illness.
