Ovarian cyst during an early pregnancy scan can be worrying, but not every cyst is dangerous.

The most common type is a corpus luteal cyst, which forms after ovulation and helps support early pregnancy. In most cases, it naturally disappears by around 14–16 weeks.

Other cysts such as dermoid cysts, endometriotic cysts, and simple cysts may also occur and are often monitored closely.

If the cyst increases suddenly in size or you experience severe pain with vomiting, seek medical attention promptly.
