Two days, six faculty from five countries, and over eighty gynaecologists from 11 countries.
We just wrapped the Basics of Hysteroscopy masterclass at MSEC, and it was two days well spent.

Over 80 gynaecologists joined us, all there to master one skill: To get better at examining and treating the uterus from within.

We kept it to the fundamentals, because that is where good hysteroscopy is won or lost:

→ Distension and fluid management, the basics that keep patients safe
→ Reading the endometrium with confidence
→ Where AI is starting to fit into hysteroscopy
→ Handling complications before they become emergencies

What I enjoy most about these sessions is not the lectures. It is the roundtable, when a young surgeon describes a case that went sideways and six of us think through it together.

My thanks to the faculty who made the time, Stefano Bettocchi , Torok Amal Drizi , Dr. Mounir Mostafa, and Dr. Adel sedrati. And to every gynaecologist who showed up to learn.

A skill taught to one surgeon helps one operating theatre. Taught to a room, it reaches patients none of us will ever meet.

That is the whole point of teaching it.
