Some celebrations become memories. This one became a feeling. đź’™

For our Occupational Therapy Day, we invited our parents to step into the world of OT—not just as observers, but as participants.

They jumped, played, solved, searched and laughed their way through activities designed around the very skills we work on every day—coordination, attention, motor planning, problem-solving and participation.

From finding their child’s name in a jigsaw puzzle to jumping through number-based challenges, every activity offered a little glimpse into the thought behind Occupational Therapy.

But the most special moment was our OT Achievement Puzzle—where every parent added a piece representing something they felt their child had achieved through OT.

And as those pieces came together, so did something much bigger—a beautiful picture of progress, perseverance, partnership and hope.

It was exhilarating. It was humbling. And it was deeply heartwarming to see how much these little-big milestones mean to families.

We want to hold on to this feeling for a very, very long time.

A huge thank you to every parent who participated, celebrated and reminded us why we do what we do.

Because when parents become part of the journey, participation truly matters.

Happy Occupational Therapy Day from all of us at Sensitivity. đź’™

Participation matters. And so does the way we make it happen. đź’™

This OT Day, our Sensitivity therapists stepped out of the usual therapy setup and into a world of fun, creativity and purposeful play!

From eye–hand coordination and praxis to visual-motor skills, problem-solving, role play and much more—every activity had an OT goal hidden within the fun.

What made it even more special? Watching our therapists bring their own creativity, teamwork and imagination to the table.

Because Occupational Therapy is not just about what we work on—it’s about helping children participate, engage, explore and find their place in everyday life.

Here’s to spreading awareness, celebrating participation, and making OT a little more understood—one creative experience at a time. 💙

Happy Occupational Therapy Day from Team Sensitivity!

What you see: swings, slides, textures and play.
What we see: possibilities.

Behind every activity in a pediatric OT room is a purpose — to help a child regulate, coordinate, communicate, learn, participate and become more independent.

A swing may be building postural control.
A climb may be preparing the body for classroom learning.
A sensory experience may be helping a child feel safe enough to engage.
A simple game may be strengthening attention, motor planning, confidence and problem-solving.

Occupational Therapy goes far beyond the therapy room.
It reaches the classroom, the playground, the dining table, the home — and most importantly, a child’s ability to participate in everyday life.

At Sensitivity, we don't just work on skills.
We work towards helping every child discover what they CAN do.

This World Occupational Therapy Day, take a closer look.
There is always more happening beneath the surface. đź’™

Dyslexia Awareness Month ❤️ | When more effort isn’t translating into progress.

Does your child spend hours studying, practise spellings repeatedly, change tutors or even schools, yet continue to struggle academically?

🔎 Here are a few signs to look out for: • Reading that is slow, hesitant or tiring. • Difficulty remembering spellings despite repeated practice. • Confusing letters and sounds or struggling to read unfamiliar words. • Written work that doesn’t reflect what your child knows. • Homework battles, frustration, low confidence or school refusal.

Sometimes, what looks like laziness, lack of motivation or behavioural difficulties may be a child struggling with an unidentified learning difficulty, such as dyslexia.

At Sensitivity, we believe the answer isn't always more practice. It's the right identification and the right approach.

Our special educators use structured, individualised methods, including Handwriting Without Tears, Jolly Phonics, Sonday System approaches, to help children build essential skills and confidence.

đź’› Don't wait for academic struggles to become emotional struggles. If difficulties persist despite appropriate support, seek a comprehensive learning assessment.

Every child deserves to learn in a way that helps them thrive.

✨ A little Ramayana, a lot of learning, and so much joy! ✨

Our Dussehra celebrations at Sensitivity came alive with little Ram, Sita, Hanuman and friends, as our children dressed up and stepped into the world of the Ramayana. 🌸

Every group activity was thoughtfully designed to bring the story to life—through play, movement, creativity, teamwork and shared learning. ❤️

Watching our children participate with such excitement, curiosity and joy made the day truly heartwarming.

A big shout-out to our wonderful team for putting their heart into every little detail. We’re already looking forward to creating many more such meaningful celebrations together! 🌼

Because when children learn through stories, play and connection, the learning stays with them.

October is ADHD & Dyslexia Awareness Month. đź’™

Awareness is not about putting a label on a child.
It is about understanding the child better.

ADHD and Dyslexia are different — yet they can overlap in ways that affect learning, attention, confidence and everyday functioning.

At Sensitivity, we believe in looking beyond the difficulty to understand why a child is struggling and what support can make a real difference.

✨ Identifying concerns early
✨ Understanding ADHD and Dyslexia — separately and together
✨ Recognising their overlaps and individual needs
✨ Supporting learning and participation at school
✨ Helping parents understand and support their child at home
✨ Building on strengths, confidence and independence

Every child learns differently. And every parent deserves clarity, not judgement.

If you have been wondering, “Is my child simply finding things difficult, or is there something more we need to understand?” — seeking guidance early can be a meaningful first step.

Let’s replace assumptions with understanding, and worry with the right support.

At Sensitivity, we are here to understand, guide and walk alongside your child and your family.

Sometimes a behavior is a message we haven't learned to understand yet.

A child may cry, scream, run away, grab, push, or refuse — not because they are “being difficult,” but because they may not yet have another way to communicate what they need.

They might be saying:

“I’m overwhelmed.”

“I don’t understand.”

“I need help.”

“I want that.”

“I need a break.”

“I want you to notice me.”

Understanding the message doesn't mean we ignore challenging behavior.

It means we look beyond the behavior, understand the need underneath it, and help the child develop a more effective way to communicate that need.

The next time you see a challenging behavior, try pausing before reacting:

What happened before?

What might my child be communicating?

What skill are they missing?

What can I teach them to do instead?

Because when we understand the communication behind the behavior, we can respond with connection, support, and skill-building.

"The most powerful therapy tool is an informed parent." đź’™

In our Parent Learning Session, Senior Occupational Therapist Soni helped parents understand how retained primitive reflexes can quietly influence a child's learning, behaviour, and confidence.

🔹 ATNR may affect handwriting and blackboard copying. 🔹 STNR may impact sitting posture and attention. 🔹 Moro Reflex may contribute to anxiety, sensory overwhelm, and fear of trying new things.

But understanding is not enough.

At Sensitivity, parents don't just hear the science—they experience it. Through hands-on assessment and reflex integration activities, families become active participants in their child's developmental journey.

Because when parents understand the root cause, intervention becomes purposeful, consistent, and powerful.

đź’™ Knowledge shared. đź’™ Skills practiced. đź’™ Children empowered.
