Happy to share that today the Department of Ophthalmology at Heema Hospital has installed ‘𝐍𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫’ (NCT) which can measure intraocular pressure (IOP) with a quick puff of air for routine eye examination and glaucoma screening.

Heartiest congratulations to the Eye Department under Dr. Richa Nyodu’s able leadership.The department is growing by leaps and bounds and we are all so delighted to see this wonderful progress. Wishing the entire team continued success and many more milestones ahead.

On National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, we are honoured to receive a token of appreciation from the Arunachal life saving foundation, presented by Shri Tai Tagak, Hon’ble MP (Rajya Sabha), Government of Arunachal Pradesh for our efforts towards voluntary blood donation and community service.

Giving back to society has always been an integral part of our values. Through every initiative, every donation drive and every effort to support those in need, we strive to contribute beyond healthcare and create a meaningful impact in our community.

As part of the observance, a voluntary blood donation drive was also conducted at the Legislative Assembly today, where our Managing Director Dr Byabang Heema, representing Heema Hospital also came forward to volunteer and donate blood in support of this noble cause.

Because giving back is not just a responsibility it is a reflection of our humanity.

A disaster mock drill exercise was successfully conducted at our hospital today, focusing on strengthening emergency preparedness, response, coordination, communication and effective teamwork.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Department of Disaster Management, Health Department, Fire & Emergency Services, NDRF, Itanagar Traffic Police and all our dedicated hospital staff and team members for their invaluable support and active participation.

Such collaborative exercises are essential for enhancing our emergency response capabilities and ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff and the community.

An internal meeting on Disaster Awareness and Preparedness Planning was held today (19.09.26) at Heema Hospital, with the participation of all members of the Hospital Disaster Management Committee, along with all Ward In-charges, Department In-charges and Heads of Departments (HODs).

The meeting focused on strengthening the hospital’s disaster preparedness and response plan, with emphasis on ensuring that every member understands their specific roles, responsibilities, and duties during a disaster or emergency situation. The session also highlighted the importance of effective coordination, communication, teamwork and timely response across all departments.
