Sarpanch Samman Samaroh was organized at Columbia Professional University on 6 June, 2026 with the objective of bringing society and the university closer together and working under one umbrella to shape the future generation of the nation.

The grand event was graced by Hon'ble Mr. Kishore Jadwani, Chancellor, Columbia Professional University; Hon'ble Mr. Harjeet Singh Hura, Pro-Chancellor; Hon'ble Prof. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor; Hon'ble Dr. Sumit Shrivastava, Pro Vice-Chancellor; and Hon'ble Prof. Shiv Shankar Shukla, Registrar.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Kishore Jadwani reaffirmed the University's commitment to providing quality education for the development of society and the nation. Mr. Harjeet Singh Hura assured the Sarpanchs, to promote quality education in rural areas. Hon'ble Prof. Raman Kumar Jha delivered the welcome address and shared his extensive experience and insights in the field of education.

Approximately 120 Sarpanchs from the Tilda, Arang, and Dharsiwa Assembly Constituencies were invited and felicitated with Shawls, Shrifal, and Mementos in recognition of their service to society.

A plantation drive was also organized during the event, where the Sarpanchs planted saplings to make the occasion memorable and to promote environmental sustainability.

The achievements and legacy of Columbia Professional University were presented by Assistant Professor Mr. Vinay Jadwani. The event was coordinated by Dr. Surendra Saraf, Principal, Columbia College of Pharmacy, and Dr. Arun Kumar Dubey, Principal, Columbia College.

The Sarpanchs from various villages appreciated the University's initiative and its tireless efforts toward promoting quality education. The programme concluded on a positive note, strengthening the bond between the University and the community.

The event was skillfully anchored by Dr. Nivedita Gautam, Assistant Professor, Columbia Institute of Pharmacy.

A special Retreat Programme titled "हमर संगवारी दीदीमन" was organized on 29 May 2026 at Columbia College, Columbia Professional University, Raipur, to appreciate the contribution of supporting staff members and promote a positive work culture.

The programme was graced by Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Columbia Professional University Professor Raman Kumar Jha and the Chief Guest was welcomed by Dr. Abha Dubey, Vice-Principal, Columbia College.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the importance of such programmes in strengthening cooperation, belongingness, and mutual respect among staff members. He also assured the supporting staff that they could directly approach him with their concerns and encouraged them to take pride in their valuable contribution to the institution.

Columbia College motivated the staff members to develop practical skills such as teamwork, responsibility, First Aid awareness, and basic technical knowledge.

Gifts were presented to all supporting staff members, and several fun-filled activities and games were organized to encourage participation and interaction.

The activities included singing songs, sharing childhood memories, discussing traditional recipes, and other engaging interactions that created a joyful atmosphere.

The activities were conducted by Asst. Prof. Ms. Roshni Verma, and a short film titled "Signature" was also screened during the programme.

At the conclusion, it was emphasized that the supporting staff members are a vital strength of the institution and play an important role in maintaining a clean, organized, and positive campus environment.

The programme was compered by Asst. Prof. Mrs. Savita Verma.

An Orientation Talk on IQAC was successfully organized on 26 May, 2026 at Columbia Professional University. The programme was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, CPU, Raipur (C.G.). The resource person for the session was Dr. Vijaylaxmi, Director IQAC, Kalinga University, Raipur (C.G.). During her informative and inspiring session, Dr. Vijaylaxmi explained various important aspects of the effective functioning of IQAC and institutional quality enhancement. She discussed the objectives, functions, and strategies required for the successful operation of IQAC.

She highlighted the importance of regular review of monthly departmental reports, proper data collection, data verification, and data compilation. She also emphasized that the outcomes and results should be regularly shared with stakeholders and different departments. She suggested maintaining proper coordination among all departments, collecting feedback regularly, and effectively using the university website for quality management. She also stressed the need to prepare an activity planner and make activities more diverse and outcome-based. She further stated that the Academic Activity Planner should be finalized after discussion with all concerned members and special attention should be given to its implementation and outcomes.

During her address, she emphasized the importance of Academic Audit and Administrative Audit and encouraged the promotion of quality research initiatives. She also highlighted the need to plan strategies according to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under quality assurance practices. She further suggested that IQAC should adopt continuous monitoring and evaluation processes and remain prepared for NAAC accreditation and other quality standards. She also emphasized developing a culture of continuous quality improvement in education, research, and administration.

The programme was attended by Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raman Kumar Jha, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sumit Shrivastava, Registrar Prof. Shiv Shankar Shukla, Controller of Examination Prof. Sathapati, Principal CIP Prof. Ravindra Pandey, Principal CCP Dr. Surendra Saraf, Principal Columbia College Dr. Arun Kumar Dubey, along with faculty members from different departments of the university. The programme was conducted by Mrs. Savita Rani Verma, Assistant Professor, Columbia College and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Abha Dubey, Vice-Principal, Columbia College.

The programme proved to be informative, inspiring, and highly beneficial for institutional quality enhancement.

The Faculty of Pharmacy (CIP), Columbia Professional University, Raipur, organized a Fresher’s Party on May 23, 2026, to welcome the B.Pharm batches of 2024–25 & 2025–26 and the D.Pharm batch of 2025–26.

The event was graced by Shri Kishore Jadwani, Hon’ble Chancellor, CPU; Shri Harjeet Singh Hura, Pro-Chancellor; Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Shiv Shankar Shukla, Registrar; and Prof. Ravindra Kumar Pandey, Principal, CIP, along with faculty members and staff.

The ceremony commenced on an auspicious note with Saraswati Vandana, seeking divine blessings for the students’ academic journey. This was followed by a welcome address and inspiring speeches from the dignitaries, who extended their best wishes to the budding pharmacists and urged them to uphold professional ethics and strive for excellence in the pharmaceutical field.

The atmosphere was vibrant with cultural performances and enthusiastic participation, reflecting the energy and commitment of the students toward the profession of pharmacy.

The event concluded with the dignitaries conveying their heartfelt wishes for the students’ bright careers and future success.
