The WMA General Assembly opens today in Rotterdam!

From 7 to 10 October, physician leaders from around the world are gathering for the 2026 WMA General Assembly, our annual meeting where global medical ethics and health policy are debated and adopted.

A warm thank-you to our host, the Dutch Medical Association (KNMG), for welcoming the global medical community to Rotterdam.

KMA is at the forefront of Kenya's Ebola response, representing doctors in the Ebola Virus Disease Taskforce.

Today our CEO Dr Wendy Kimbui joined the Ministry of Health EVD Taskforce coordination meeting, led by the PS for Public Health & Professional standards Mary Muthoni, alongside partners. We then visited JKIA to assess screening and detection at the point of entry.

Our priority is clear: protect the public and protect the health workers on the frontline. Every doctor needs the PPE, training and isolation support to respond safely.

Stay alert. Report early. Call 719 if you are unwell after travel to an affected area.
