Hari Om 🙏
The photo in this post is one I happened to come across on the internet a few days ago. The post was shared by Kasper and Sofia, who live in Poland. They are both yoga teachers who are doing wonderful work by sharing yoga in their country. Today, they have become two of the well-known yoga teachers in Poland.
I first met them in Sri Lanka, long before they became yoga teachers. During that time, they spent many days learning and practicing yoga with me. Even now, whenever they visit Sri Lanka, they never forget to come and see me. Every time they visit, they generously share their yoga experiences with the students who come to learn from me.
Over the years, we have built a beautiful friendship filled with kindness, respect, and heartfelt connection. Whenever I come across posts like this online, and whenever I see my students from Sri Lanka and around the world serving the philosophy of yoga, I feel a joy that is beyond words.
I believe my role as a yoga teacher is like a oil lamp—or perhaps a candle.
I may not be a great or famous person, but I have always shared everything I know with sincerity and to the best of my ability. My students then pass that knowledge on to many others. It is just like one lamp or candle lighting countless other lamps and candles, spreading light from one to another.
To everyone reading this post, and especially to all my students in Sri Lanka and around the world who have learned yoga with me, I wish you peace and happiness. May you continue to spread peace, love, and joy into the lives of many more people. You all have my heartfelt blessings.
Om Shanti. 🙏🕉️
