Every cigarette leaves a mark, not just on the lungs, but on the heart.

Smoking significantly increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, often in ways we do not immediately see. And today, heart disease remains the number one killer.

At the IJN Foundation, we believe prevention is a powerful form of care. Through our Preventive Healthcare Programmes (PHP), we champion awareness, encourage healthier lifestyle choices, and work towards reducing the burden of cardiovascular disease, in line with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.

We welcome support, partnerships, and collaboration in advancing preventive healthcare awareness, because creating lasting impact takes all of us.

You can be part of this journey. By supporting IJN Foundation’s healthcare initiatives, you help expand access to preventive care and build healthier communities. Learn more at ijnfoundation.org.

Because a healthier tomorrow begins with the choices we make today.

We, at IJN Foundation (IJNF), wish all Muslims a blessed Eid al-Adha Mubarak.

Eid al-Adha reminds us of the meaning of sacrifice, not only in tradition, but in the lives we see every day.

For many caregivers and heart patients, sacrifice takes on a different form. It is the sole breadwinner who keeps going despite uncertainty. It is the patient who endures treatment while holding on to hope for their family. It is the quiet strength to keep showing up, even when the odds feel heavy.

This joyous season, as we reflect on the spirit of giving, let us also remember those who are struggling to keep afloat. Through the IJNF’s Patient Assistance Programme, your support can help ease the burden of treatment and bring hope to those who need it most, in line with our commitment to SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.

Because true sacrifice is not only what we give up, but how we choose to lift others along the way. Please extend your kindness this Eid al-Adha at https://tinyurl.com/23psjakf.

Wishing all Muslims a blessed Dhul Hijjah from IJN Foundation.

In the sacred days of Dhul Hijjah, every act of giving carries deeper meaning. It is a time when compassion is multiplied, and even the smallest act of goodness can leave a lasting impact.

As we reflect on sacrifice and gratitude, let us also remember those who are facing silent battles. Among them are underprivileged heart patients, holding on to hope as they await life-saving treatment.
Your sadaqah can be that hope.

Through the IJN Foundation’s Patient Assistance Programme, your contribution helps ease the burden of treatment and brings care closer to those who need it most.

If you are moved to do something meaningful this Dhul Hijjah, consider extending your kindness to a heart in need. Because in these blessed days, giving is more than charity; it is a way to keep another heart beating.

“Controlling Hypertension Together” is more than a theme; it is about protecting the quiet rhythm that keeps life going.

High blood pressure often goes unnoticed, yet it can change everything in a moment. Behind every reading is a life, a family, a future still unfolding. When left unmanaged, it threatens not just health, but the time we have with those we love.

At the IJN Foundation, we believe that prevention is where hope begins. Through our cardiac health awareness and preventive initiatives, we empower individuals to take simple, meaningful steps toward better heart health, in line with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.

Because sustaining the heartbeat of hope starts with each of us, together. Learn how you can be part of this journey towards sustainable heart healthcare at ijnfoundation.org.

Nurses stand at the forefront of care, supporting patients through some of their most vulnerable moments. Their compassion is matched by constant learning, continuously upskilling to deliver care that is precise, responsive, and tailored to every patient.

Through the IJN Foundation’s Educational and Training Programmes pillar, we support initiatives that empower allied healthcare professionals in cardiovascular and thoracic care to continuously grow, learn, and advance in their practice.

In doing so, we contribute to a stronger healthcare ecosystem, one that continues to raise the standard of patient care and improve outcomes for every heart. Learn more about how you can contribute here at ijnfoundation.org

To all nurses, thank you for the care, dedication, and expertise you bring each day.

Mothers are often the caregivers, the steady presence that keeps families together. Yet for some, they are also heart patients, balancing their own recovery while continuing to care for those they love.

This Mother’s Day, we honour the strength, resilience and quiet sacrifices of mothers everywhere, especially single mothers who carry the weight of their families each day.

If you’re able, join us in supporting mothers in need. Through the Patient Assistance Programme, your contribution can help provide life-saving cardiac care and ease the burden for families who need it most.
Because even the strongest hearts deserve care, too.

Every touch matters, especially for little ones learning about the world around them. Teaching children proper hand hygiene from a young age is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to protect their health and build lifelong habits.

On World Hand Hygiene Day, we are reminded that clean hands are the first step to safer, healthier living. For children, this small daily practice helps prevent infections and supports stronger, healthier hearts as they grow.

Through our Preventive Healthcare Programmes (PHP), the IJN Foundation champions early education and simple habits that nurture healthier generations, in line with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.

Partner with us in advocating for better heart health. Learn more at ijnfoundation.org

Because every big, healthy future begins with small, clean hands.

Celebrating a day of rest for all who work tirelessly to support their loved ones. Yet for some, especially sole breadwinners caring for family members with heart conditions, taking time off is not always possible.
This Labour Day, we honour not just the work we do, but the strength it takes to keep going. In line with our commitment to reducing inequalities and ensuring equal access to cardiac care, the IJN Foundation continues to support those who need it most.

If you’re able, be part of this journey. Through the Patient Assistance Programme, even the smallest contribution can help ease the burden for families facing critical heart treatment.

To all hardworking Malaysians, your resilience does not go unnoticed. Wishing you a well-deserved Happy Labour Day from all of us at the IJN Foundation.

In today’s fast-paced world, long hours, late nights, and constant deadlines have become the norm. But running on too little sleep may be doing more harm than you think.

Heart disease and even heart attacks are increasingly seen in younger adults, often linked to modern lifestyle habits such as chronic stress and insufficient rest. Poor sleep has been associated with higher blood pressure, inflammation, and increased cardiovascular risk.

Getting 7 to 9 hours of quality sleep each night allows your body and heart to recover, regulate, and function at their best. It is not just about rest, but long-term protection.

Aligned with SDG 3, IJN Foundation encourages simple, sustainable habits that support heart health and overall well-being. Because no matter how busy life gets, your heart still needs time to rest.
