🌈 DIY Colour Sorting Activity

You don’t need fancy toys to create a fun learning activity at home!

Grab a cupcake/muffin pan and a few small objects from around the house. Add different colours to the sections and let your child sort the objects into the matching colours or follow the guidelines.

Try using:
🧩 Lego or building blocks
🧸 Small toys
🧦 Pom-poms
🥄 Bottle tops
🖍️ Crayons
🧷 Pegs

This simple activity encourages colour recognition, visual discrimination, visual attention and fine motor skills. Using tongs or tweezers adds an extra fine-motor challenge.

And the best part? You probably already have everything you need at home! ❤

Always supervise young children when using small objects.

🌾 National Celiac Disease Awareness Day

Today we raise awareness about coeliac disease and the importance of understanding that gluten-free isn’t simply a lifestyle choice for everyone.

For those living with coeliac disease, avoiding gluten is an important part of staying healthy.

Let’s spread awareness, understanding and a little more kindness when it comes to dietary needs.

🔥 IF OUR PRACTICE WAS ON FIRE… WHAT WOULD WE GRAB?

We put ourselves to the test, you can only grab the most important things!

Some choices were obvious… others were surprisingly difficult!

Because sometimes you need to ask yourself:
What do I really value? What could I not work without? ❤️

Don’t worry — this was only a drill!

🌈 Colour Blindness Awareness Day

Colour vision is more than just seeing red, blue or green. It can affect how we learn, play and navigate everyday environments.

Today, we had the opportunity to learn more about colour vision with Loana from Mivision Optics.

A big thank you to Loana for helping us see colour a little differently! 💛

💙 Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day 💙

Independence looks different for everyone.

For someone with a spinal cord injury, independence may mean learning a new way to dress, transfer, work, move, or simply navigate everyday life.

It’s not about doing everything alone, it’s about having the right support, tools and opportunities to do things in your own way.

Let’s celebrate progress, resilience and every step towards greater independence.

📚🔢 Number & Literacy Day!

Early number and literacy skills are the building blocks for learning, communication, problem-solving and independence. And the best part?

They develop through everyday moments: talking, reading, counting, playing, drawing and exploring together.

Small moments of learning today can make a big difference tomorrow!
