🌈 DIY Colour Sorting Activity
You don’t need fancy toys to create a fun learning activity at home!
Grab a cupcake/muffin pan and a few small objects from around the house. Add different colours to the sections and let your child sort the objects into the matching colours or follow the guidelines.
Try using:
🧩 Lego or building blocks
🧸 Small toys
🧦 Pom-poms
🥄 Bottle tops
🖍️ Crayons
🧷 Pegs
This simple activity encourages colour recognition, visual discrimination, visual attention and fine motor skills. Using tongs or tweezers adds an extra fine-motor challenge.
And the best part? You probably already have everything you need at home! ❤
Always supervise young children when using small objects.
