48 years ago, the birth of Louise Brown changed the course of reproductive medicine forever.

Today, as we commemorate World IVF Day (World Embryologist Day), we celebrate not only the birth of the world's first IVF baby but also the hope that assisted reproductive technology has brought to millions of individuals and couples across the globe.

I remain grateful for the opportunity I had to meet Louise Brown at the British House of Commons, where we discussed the future and safety of assisted reproduction worldwide.

That encounter continues to remind me that behind every scientific breakthrough is a human story - a family, a dream fulfilled, and a life transformed.

On this special day, I celebrate embryologists whose precision, dedication, and quiet work behind the scenes make these stories possible. Their expertise, alongside the commitment of every member of the fertility team, continues to bring hope where hope once seemed distant.

To my colleagues at ALPS Hospitals , Alps Hospitals, Abuja and to embryologists around the world, thank you for your unwavering commitment to helping families grow.

And to every couple still on the journey to parenthood, never lose sight of what Louise Brown's story continues to remind us: today's hope can become tomorrow's reality.

One IVF cycle doesn't tell the whole story.

Today, successful fertility treatment is about much more than IVF alone. It begins with understanding each patient's unique story, making the right diagnosis, and providing individualized, evidence-based care.
