We recently welcomed Occupational Therapy students from AP Hogeschool Antwerpen at TRAINM Clinics Antwerp.

Our team shared their expertise on the use of robotic devices and neuromodulation in neurorehabilitation, and how these technologies are integrated into everyday practice with our patients.
The students could see first-hand how technology complements therapy and supports functional goals in daily life.
Bringing education and clinical practice together is essential for preparing the next generation of occupational therapists.

We are delighted to welcome Yvette van Horn, MD, as Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician at TRAINM Clinics in Amsterdam.

Yvette brings an exceptional combination of clinical and healthcare leadership experience. She studied medicine at Utrecht University and initially trained in tropical medicine, working at St. Martin’s Catholic Hospital in Agroyesum and St. John of God Hospital in Sefwi Asafo, Ghana, via VSO Nederland.

She specialized in physical medicine and rehabilitation at De Hoogstraat Revalidatie and continued her career at Adelante Zorggroep, where she served as a physiatrist, medical affairs manager and member of the Board of Directors. Subsequently, she was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of De Hoogstraat Revalidatie.

Her clinical expertise has included multitrauma, amputation rehabilitation and permissive weight bearing, an area in which she also contributed to published research. More recently, her clinical focus has included balance disorders, hand and wrist rehabilitation, diabetic foot and general hospital rehabilitation.

At TRAINM Clinics, Yvette will focus on patients in the chronic phase, suffering from neurological disorders, looking for an intensive and personalized neurorehabilitation program using the latest evidence-based technologies including robotics, neurogaming, VR and non-invasive neuromodulation.

We are proud to have Yvette van Horn joining our multidisciplinary team as we continue our mission to push the boundaries of neurorehabilitation.

We were delighted to welcome the MS Liga-Vlaanderen to TRAINM and BRAINM Clinics Ghent! 💙
Representatives of the MS Liga came by to meet our team and to hear directly from patients about their experience with intensive robotic therapy at TRAINM.

Together we talked about what intensive rehabilitation can mean for people living with MS, and about the role neuromodulation can play in that process.
A special thank you to Prof. Dr. Jean Baptiste Belge for his inspiring presentation, to our team of Neuro PT’s with their input and to our patients for sharing their stories so openly.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.

International Ataxia Awareness Day is celebrated on September 25th every year and it is a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about ataxia, a group of rare neurological disorders that affect coordination, balance, and speech.

Today is particularly significant for Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), a genetic form of ataxia that affects movement and coordination.
