It’s early morning as I write this.
The past weeks I’ve been feeling a quiet shift.
Something is softening… and something is coming to a close.
After almost 10 years, on July 1, I will be letting go of Temple of Happiness as a place.
Not because something is wrong —
but because something in me has changed.
For a long time, I was always “on”.
Holding the space, organising, taking care, bringing people together.
And now I notice… I don’t have to anymore.
There is more space.
More quiet.
More simply being.
And from that place, this feels right.
🌿 A transition:
From July 1, Temple of Happiness in its current form will come to an end.
The space will be continued by Rakesh & Elfriede,
who will bring their own energy and vision after the summer. The new name is : The Conscious Place,
at Condensatorweg 36, Amsterdam. It
opens on 12 September.
I feel happy to pass it on —
and curious to see what will grow there next.
🌿 What’s still happening in the Temple - till 1 July:
In the coming weeks, there is still a beautiful and diverse program unfolding in the space.
Besides our own events, you’ll find regular evenings like Yoga ( new!) and Biodanza every Wednesday, as well as workshops in movement and embodiment, emotional release meditations, a ta**ra weekend hosted by colleagues, and several Temple nights guided by other facilitators....
There are also new events being added to the agenda in the coming weeks, as many reservations are still coming in.
So if you feel the call — this is a special time to come and experience the space one more time, in all its richness and diversity.
🌿 Hosted by the Temple of Happiness & Wilde Ziel:
Alongside the wider program, we will be offering a final series of gatherings — created by our own Temple of Happiness team and by Wilde Ziel.
These are the last moments we come together in this form.
✨ Barefoot Happiness – Royal Edition (25 April)
We celebrate Koningsdag with a playful Royal Edition — come as your inner king or queen 👑 An evening of potluck, cacao, live music, and a full dance journey. With a cozy massage corner and a playful makeover space, this night invites you to arrive, express and dance freely in the warm, home-like atmosphere Barefoot Happiness is known for.

✨ Ta***ic Energy Transformation (9 May)
A grounded, experiential day where we explore how to stay present with life energy as it moves through you. Through breath, awareness and simple practices, you’ll learn to remain connected to yourself — even in moments of intensity. A deep yet practical introduction into ta***ic awareness.

✨ Barefoot Happiness – Bird Day Edition (16 May)
A playful and slightly crazy celebration where you’re invited to come as your inner bird 🐦 We start with a connecting Ta***ic Dance session by Rakesh & Elfriede, followed by a high-vibe dance journey with Esta Polyesta and a warm closing set by Jivan Mukta. Expect feathers, music, connection and freedom — and yes… there will be cake.

A Temple day where we explore ta***ic energetic lo******ng as a living experience — something that begins to move when you allow it. Through a grounded workshop and a more open, playful evening space, you’re invited to feel, follow and trust the movement of life energy in your body. Raw, subtle, alive.

✨ Final Party – Temple of Happiness (27 June)
After almost 10 years, we close this chapter with one last gathering. An evening of potluck, shared moments, music and dancing — to celebrate everything that has been created together. A space to reconnect, feel, and say goodbye in your own way. Call to action: Bring your own acts, creativity, music to the Temple to share!

🌿 And for me:
This is not an ending — it’s a shift.
I will focus more on bodywork and massage,
creating space for deeper, more personal sessions.
At the same time, I feel that ta**ra will remain part of my path.
Workshops and retreats may return in a new form… but first, I’m allowing myself time to rest and listen.
