šŸ‘‹ I’m Dr. Anchal, a published Metabolic and Healthy aging scientist (PhD)
I’m here to help women 35+ age strong, improve metabolism, muscle, energy, and long-term health—using evidence-based frameworks, not diets or gym trends.

I’m just very curious to see what comes out of this by 2030.

Maybe the future of aging won’t be about one biomarker looking younger.

Maybe it will be about whether you actually function younger.

Would that change how you think about ā€œreversing agingā€?

Start with what is actually waking you up.

Hot flashes or night sweats?
Address the menopause symptoms themselves.

Snoring, gasping or waking up exhausted?
That’s worth getting checked for sleep apnea.

Lying awake even when you’re tired, or struggling to fall back asleep?

CBT I is actually one of the best studied treatments for insomnia, including in women around menopause.

The solution will depend on what is disrupting your sleep.

Find the reason first. Then choose the solution.

Magnesium may still help some people.
But overall, the evidence for magnesium and insomnia is limited, and we still don’t know whether it specifically helps the sleep changes women experience during perimenopause.

You usually can’t feel bone loss happening.
Maybe that’s reason enough to strength train.

01/10/2026

There. I said it.
No, you do not need to train, eat or work according to your menstrual cycle.

And as a scientist, I’m comfortable saying that because the current evidence does not support rigid, universal cycle-syncing rules.

Hormones absolutely change across the menstrual cycle.
Some women also notice very real, repeatable changes in energy, appetite, sleep or performance.

But across studies, those effects are often small, inconsistent and highly individual.

So tracking your cycle can be useful.

What the science doesn’t justify is turning that information into another rulebook every woman is expected to follow.

Your biology is data.
It is not a schedule someone else gets to write for you.

And this is why longevity advice can feel so confusing.

One expert tells you to fast. Another talks about NAD. Someone else is excited about an entirely different anti-aging treatment.

And you're left wondering if you are missing something important?

But here's what I want you to understand.

These experts are often studying different pieces of aging biology. That doesn't mean every approach has been proven to improve healthy aging in humans.

So stay curious about new discoveries. Just don't feel pressured to turn every exciting finding into another thing you need to do or buy.

You can take aging science seriously without chasing every breakthrough.

A normal calcium blood test can coexist with declining bone mineral density.

For bone health in your 40s and beyond, the bigger picture matters: menopause stage, bone-density risk, calcium + vitamin D intake, strength/weight-bearing activity, and your personal fracture and family history.

Normal blood calcium ≠ a measure of bone density.

A lot of healthy-aging questions will never come with one perfect decades-long tria.

The useful skill is learning to weigh the whole evidence picture — human data, biology, consistency and limitations without turning uncertainty into either hype or dismissal.

That’s the same filter I use for sunscreen, supplements and longevity claims.

One of the most useful things you can bring to a perimenopause conversation is simply knowing what was normal for you before, and what has genuinely started changing.

That context can tell you far more than trying to make one symptom or one hormone result give you a yes/no answer.

Your own trajectory is data too.

If scientists could biologically reverse just ONE part of your body starting tomorrow — which one are you picking? šŸ‘‡

The best longevity diet doesn’t have a name.

The researchers didn’t test just one ā€œbestā€ diet. They compared 8 different healthy eating patterns — Mediterranean-style, DASH, MIND, plant-forward patterns and others.

And all eight were linked with better odds of healthy aging over this 30-year study of more than 100,000 people.

Which tells us something useful:
The diet name probably isn’t the most important part. The overlap is.

Across these different ways of eating, the same foods kept showing up more often: fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and unsaturated fats — with less red and processed meat, sugary drinks and highly refined foods.

So instead of asking, ā€œWhich diet is the right one?ā€ maybe a better question is:

Does the way I eat most of the time contain enough of the things these patterns have in common?

Because for healthy aging, consistency may matter much more than having the perfect diet label.

Curious — have you ever tried a diet just because it had a famous name? Which one?
