With deep joy and gratitude, we announce the arrival of Pajé Ninawa Pai Da Mata and Txana Nui from the Huni Kuin people of the Brazilian Amazon. They come to share their ancestral healing traditions, forest wisdom, and the light of their hearts — always with joy, humility, and deep prayer.

We will gather for two Sacred Ceremonies on our sacred land in the Netherlands:

These ceremonies will be a profound immersion into the sacred chants, medicines, and prayers of the Amazon — a journey of connection, renewal, healing, study and celebration of life.

🌶️ Thursday, August 13 — Sacred Hãpaya Baptism Ceremony A powerful and rare initiation to open the voice and awaken the memory of song and prayer — perfect for those walking the path of sacred chanting and healing.

✨ During their stay, there will also be opportunities for individual healing sessions with Pajé Ninawa Pai Da Mata for those who feel called to receive personal guidance and blessing.

We are immensely grateful for the possibility to host these transformational, profound and immersive gatherings. We offer our thanks to the Great Spirit (Yuxibu) for all the guidance, protection and for safeguarding these ceremonial and ancient ways of life. Pajé Ninawa Pai Da Mata
Pajé Ninawa Pai da Mata is a spiritual leader of the Huni Kuin people from the Humaitá River region in Acre, Brazil. His village is one of the most remote communities in the region. A guardian of his people's ancestral knowledge, he is dedicated to preserving Indigenous culture, educating future generations, and protecting the Amazon rainforest.

Internationally recognized for his spiritual work and for the cultural exchanges he has led in numerous countries over the past fifteen years, Ninawa shares the message of Indigenous peoples through gatherings, lectures, and musical performances. A highly respected healer and shaman, he brings healing through his words, sacred songs, stories, and the cosmology of his people. As a musician and composer, he uses traditional Huni Kuin songs as instruments of connection, healing, and cultural strengthening.

Ninawa is also the founder and organizer of the Eskawatã Kayawai Festival, one of the largest Indigenous gatherings in the state of Acre, held in Aldeia Novo Futuro. His work has made him one of the leading contemporary voices of the Huni Kuin people, building bridges between tradition, spirituality, and intercultural dialogue.

Txana Nui
Txana Nui is a young Txana (traditional singer and chant leader) and guardian of the Huni Kuin sacred songs, dedicated to the study and preservation of his people's ancestral knowledge. Initiated into important stages of spiritual training within his tradition, he continues to deepen his path through sacred diets and practices passed down by the elders of his community.

In recent years, he has accompanied Ninawa Pai da Mata on cultural exchange journeys in various countries, sharing the richness of Huni Kuin culture through songs, stories, and traditional knowledge. His serene, sensitive, and charismatic presence deeply touches those who encounter his work.

Txana Nui is distinguished by his mastery of a vast repertoire of traditional songs, including complex melodies of profound spiritual significance, used as instruments of connection, cultural strengthening, and healing.

We feel deeply honored and grateful to once again receive the blessing of hosting two sacred ceremonies with the Blue Deer Grandfather Medicine from the sacred desert of Wirikuta, Mexico.

This marks the fifth time that we have the privilege of welcoming Marakame Don Venado to the Netherlands. It is a true gift to receive him once again on our sacred land, where he will share his prayers, wisdom, ancestral healing techniques, and the sacred medicine of his people. His humble presence, profound dedication, and powerful ceremonial work have touched many hearts over the years, and we look forward to gathering once again for these deeply healing, heart-opening, and transformative nights.

Five years ago, Don Venado planted a sacred Wixarika fire on our land, establishing a ceremonial altar that has been lovingly tended through prayer, offerings, and devotion. This year we gather to honor the completion of this five-year sacred cycle, giving thanks for the blessings received, the lessons learned, the healing that has unfolded, and the prayers that continue to guide us forward.

We are also delighted that our dear friends Alberto Arroyo and Tavo Vázquez from the beautiful band Curawaka will join us during both ceremonies, offering their heartfelt music and uplifting presence. Together with our team, we will hold a safe, loving, and sacred space where we can pray, heal, sing, dance, connect, and receive the blessings and teachings of the sacred Blue Deer medicine, the Marakame, and all the Elements.

In addition, Individual Healing Sessions will be available at various times throughout the weekend and the surrounding days.

Hello dear friends,

With deep gratitude, we are honored to welcome Pajé Ninawa Pai Da Mata from the Huni Kuin people back to the Netherlands. This time he will be accompanied by Txana Nui, and together they will offer the sacred Hãpaya Baptism Diet on Wednesday, August 13th.

Hãpaya, also known as the "Baptism of Pepper," is one of the most sacred rituals within Huni Kuin tradition. Guided by Pajé Ninawa through prayers, sacred chants, and the powerful yutxi (a traditional pepper preparation), the baptism is performed by gently touching the initiate's tongue with the beak of the Txana bird—known in Portuguese as the japinim, a remarkable bird celebrated for its ability to imitate the songs of many other birds.

As the bird's beak, or in some cases a feather, is dipped into the pepper infusion and applied to the initiate's tongue, the Pajé sings specific prayers and blessings. During the ritual, the initiate extends their tongue, allowing the saliva to flow freely while embracing the intense sensation of the sacred pepper. This process is approached with prayer, presence, humility, and deep respect.

Traditionally, Hãpaya is offered in the villages to those who aspire to become guardians of prayer and sacred song. It is considered a ceremony that helps to "open the chants" and "awaken the memory," enabling the singer to become a true voice of the forest—carrying its wisdom, prayers, and spirit.

The Huni Kuin believe this sacred baptism supports the learning of traditional songs, strengthens memory, empowers the voice, and helps participants express themselves with greater clarity, confidence, and authenticity.

In addition, we warmly invite you to join our Cultural Immersion Ceremonies on August 14th and 15th, where Pajé Ninawa and Txana Nui will share their ancestral knowledge, traditions, sacred songs in an healing and inspiring gathering.

On July 29, we warmly invite you to join us for a rare and meaningful cultural gathering in the presence of Marakame Doña Micaela, Elder Marakame Don Efren Bautista, and Arturo Werika Temai.

Through traditional music, ancestral storytelling, and the sharing of their knowledge and experience, they will offer insights into the rich cosmology, living traditions, values, and communal way of life of their Indigenous people. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in respectful dialogue.

This special event will last approximately 3–4 hours. It marks the first time we are hosting a cultural presentation of this kind in the Netherlands, making it a unique opportunity to learn directly from respected wisdom keepers and cultural representatives.

We are deeply honored to host two special ceremonies with the Sacred Blue Deer Grandfather Medicine from the Wirikuta Desert of Mexico.

With heartfelt gratitude, we warmly welcome back Female Marakame Doña Micaela Tkaima, accompanied by her son, Arthuro Werika Temai. Joining them is Elder Marakame Don Efren Bautista, who, together with Arthuro, will be visiting our sacred land in the Netherlands for the very first time.

These ceremonies take place on the 30th of July and on the 1st of August.

With deep humility and gratitude, we are honored to share that we have been blessed with the opportunity to host two sacred ceremonies with the Huni Kuin people from Brazil.

This August, we warmly welcome back Pajé (Shaman) Ninawa Pai Da Mata and, for the first time, Txana Nui, both from the beautiful Novo Futuro Village, to our sacred land in the Netherlands. It is a profound honor to receive Ninawa once again. He is one of the most respected and powerful Pajés of the Huni Kuin people, and we are deeply grateful to share his wisdom and beautiful work with our community once more.

The ceremonies will take place on 14 and 15 August.

Through sacred songs, prayers, and the medicines of the forest, ceremony invites us to return to balance. It offers us the opportunity to remember who we are beneath the noise of everyday life, to realign with the rhythms of nature, and to walk our path with greater awareness, humility, and connection—to ourselves, to one another, and to all of life.
Each time the Huni Kuin visit, it is a profound blessing. Their presence fills our hearts with healing, joy, remembrance, and deep communion. These wise guardians of the rainforest travel from the living heart of the Amazon to the Netherlands, carrying with them the strength of the forest, the prayers of their ancestors, and the sacred presence of Yuxibu—the Great Spirit.

The Huni Kuin bring a message that speaks directly to the soul: a call to remembrance, reciprocity, and reverence for Mother Earth. Their ancestral wisdom awakens something ancient within us, reconnecting us with our roots, our spirit, and the living web that unites all beings. Under the guidance of Ninawa, we gather to weave bridges of prayer and alliance between Europe and the Amazon, honoring unity across lands, cultures, and generations.

Together with our dedicated team, we will co-create a safe, loving, and grounded space where you can surrender to your own healing journey. It is our intention to support you in connecting deeply with the beautiful Huni Kuin tradition, the sacred medicines, and the wisdom they carry.

We are also grateful to offer a Sacred Hãpaya Baptism Ceremony on 13 August—a rare and beautiful opportunity to receive this sacred Amazonian medicine in prayer and under the guidance of the Huni Kuin.

Within the village, this baptism is traditionally offered to those who wish to deepen their path as singers and prayer carriers. The ritual is intended to "open the chant" and "awaken the memory" of the singers, enabling them to become voices of the forest who invoke its songs, prayers, and spirits. It is designed to support the learning of sacred songs, strengthen memory, empower the voice, and encourage authentic expression through singing, speaking, and prayer. We are honored to welcome Elder Pajé Tima Shãwãhu Vovõ João@iedereengether with his grandson Txana Pexa and granddaughter Panany of the Yawanawa people of Brazil, who will be offering a Storytelling, Rapéh, and Sacred Singing Circle on Thursday, June 25th in the Netherlands.

This special gathering offers a unique opportunity to connect deeply with the sacred medicine Rapéh, receive ancestral teachings, and experience the traditional chants and songs of the Yawanawa people. It is also a rare blessing to receive Rapéh directly from one of the most respected and eldest wisdom keeper of the Yawanawa tradition.

There is still an opportunity to register for the Traditional Ceremonies taking place on June 19–20 and June 26–27. A few spaces remain available, and you are warmly invited to join us.

At 93 years of age, Pajé Tima Shãwãhu is deeply honored among his people and carries a lifetime of wisdom, healing knowledge, and spiritual guidance. Dear family,

In the past days, we have raised our new sacred tipi. With prayer, brotherhood, and gratitude, we gathered together to bring this sacred space to life. I give thanks to my brothers Ollin Arroyo, Jorge and Jos Hartheid, who supported me and carried this vision with their hearts and prayers.

With humble hearts, we now look ahead to the upcoming ceremonial season. The first ceremonies will take place in our tipi on June 4th and 6th, together with the Wixarika nation from Mexico.
