Celebrate National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the collective energy, dedication, and generosity of volunteers across Aotearoa New Zealand. It gives us an opportunity to thank the millions of people who generously share their time, skills, and compassion to support their communities.

To show our appreciation, we will be celebrating and thanking all of our wonderful Terrace View volunteers with a special morning tea, followed by some fun games.

Kirsty is heading off on a new adventure, and we'd love to send her off in style and wish her all the very best for the future. Let's give her a farewell to remember.

Don't be too sad though—she'll still be staying with us as a casual, so you'll continue to see her around from time to time... although you'll probably hear her before you see her! 😊

Do you enjoy meeting people, having a laugh, and giving back to the community?
We are looking for a friendly volunteer to call Bingo for our lovely residents at Terrace View Retirement Village.

Just 2 hours per week — Monday afternoons (can be 1.15-3.15pm or 2-4pm), based in Tinwald, Ashburton

This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with older members of our community, bring smiles to residents’ faces, and make a real difference to someone’s day. No experience needed — just a warm personality, clear speaking voice, and willingness to have some fun!

Diversional Therapist wanted- 32 hours a week

We are currently looking for a caring, creative, and enthusiastic Diversional Therapist to lead our wonderful activities team at Terrace View Retirement Village.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents by creating meaningful activities, encouraging social connection, and bringing joy to each day.

What we are looking for:

• A passionate and positive person who loves working with older people
• Someone creative, organised, and able to think outside the box
• Experience or qualifications in Diversional Therapy or Activities coordination preferred- or willing to learn
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Full licence and able to drive a manual van
• Flexibility in working hours

All applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and will be required to complete police vetting as part of the recruitment process.
