We spent Tuesday in Ōtāhuhu alongside Kāinga Ora and other community partners, connecting with local residents and sharing information about health and wellbeing services.
From answering questions to having great conversations about healthcare, it was wonderful to spend time with the community and meet so many friendly faces.

We're excited to welcome Dr Natalie Hopoi and Dr Vanisi Prescott to the team at Local Doctors Avondale.

Dr Hopoi brings more than 20 years of GP experience, with a special interest in preventative care, chronic condition management, skin procedures, and menopause care.
Dr Prescott is a GP and Urgent Care Physician with a passion for women's health, health education, and supporting Pacific communities.

Together with our wider team of GPs, nurses, health coaches, wellness advisors and support staff, they help strengthen the care and support we provide to the Avondale community.

Whether you need a routine check-up, support managing a long-term condition, or advice from one of our healthcare professionals, we're here to help.

Local Doctors Avondale is currently taking new enrolments, so If you're part of the Avondale community and looking for a local GP, enrolling is free and easy.

Last Saturday, we came together for Together We Thrive at EFKS Papatoetoe, a beautiful day focused on health, wellbeing, connection and supporting our communities to thrive.

Organised by Mapu Maia in partnership with Local Doctors and supported by a range of health and social service providers, the event created an opportunity for families to access support, have open conversations and connect with services available in our community.

A huge fa’afetai tele lava to EFKS Papatoetoe Church for hosting and for encouraging church members, families and neighbours to attend and engage.

Thank you to everyone who attended and all the providers who contributed to making the day a success.
