Join Omar Alsharief Abdelmotilib in a journey to understand the behind-the-scenes of your decisions.
Omar Alsharief Abdelmotilib is a Personal Trainer, Well-Being Strategist, and
Fitness Nutrition Guide based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Since 2011, Omar has been helping people improve strength, health,
confidence, and long-term well-being through practical, sustainable
guidance. His work brings together personal training, fitness nutrition,
psychology, behaviour change, and research-informed lifestyle strategy to
help people build healthier lives that are realistic and lasting.
What makes Omar’s approach different is that he does not look at exercise
and nutrition as isolated tools. He sees them as part of a wider system
involving the brain, nervous system, hormones, habits, motivation, recovery,
and environment. His work is grounded in a growing body of research
showing that movement and nutrition together can influence mood, energy,
decision-making, discipline, cognitive function, and long-term health more
effectively than either one alone.
His research-informed interests include:
Nutritional Neuroscience — how food and nutrients influence brain
function, mood, and behaviour
Neurobiology of Exercise — how movement supports brain adaptation,
resilience, and recovery
Cognitive Neuroscience — how lifestyle affects memory, attention, focus,
and decision-making
Decision Neuroscience — how people navigate cravings, self-control,
reward, and healthy choices
Neuroplasticity — how habits, movement, and nutrition help reshape the
brain and strengthen better patterns
Behavioural Neuroscience — how motivation, appetite, fatigue, and
performance are influenced by the nervous system
He is also deeply interested in the intersection between diet, exercise, and
brain health, including areas such as the brain-gut axis, BDNF and
neurogenesis, synaptic plasticity, vascular function, nervous system
resilience, fasting, and autophagy.
For Omar, this is not just theory. It is a practical framework for helping
people better understand their bodies, improve their routines, strengthen
discipline, and build lifestyles they can sustain in real life.
Through ZADIMA, his mission is to help people become healthier, stronger,
and more balanced so they can better sustain themselves, their families,
and their communities.
