Are you pregnant after loss and would like to talk to others who are experiencing the same feelings of anxiety and fear, and the exhaustion of getting through each day?

We have a Sands NZ online support group that meets tomorrow evening, Wednesday 16th September from 7:30-8:45pm. If you’d like to join us, please email the Sands Secretary on [email protected] to get the link details. And if you’ve joined us before, it’s the same link 🙂

Pregnancy after loss can be so hard, we want you to know there’s somewhere you can go to talk about how you are doing and meet others who are walking a similar path 💜🧡

Well it has been a while since I have been able to get in the gardens. The months have been packed with goodness such as:
🌀new computer systems to support counselling sessions and booking reminders.
🌀Becoming ACC sensitive claim registered, in order to support women to access ongoing support.
🌀prepare and carry out the Birth Trauma Support program.
🌀 attend the online Masters Brainspotting 3 day workshop
🌀 and celebrate another year around the sun.

However it is great to be out of the four walls and getting my feet and hands dirty in the earth. Weeding and preparing for what to plant to eat! Any suggestions? 🌱🥦🥒🥕🥬

It’s been a week today that Kate Birth Trauma Aotearoa and myself supported a group of people in their healing journeys. Often in healing journeys we can return to places we have already been before, this can sound like ‘I’ve been here already’ ‘I’ve worked on this, it should be done’. However this image shows another way to view the experience as returning with new eyes.

I got to enjoy a date with myself this morning before joining in on the Brain spotting Master class. 3 days of online training as I move toward becoming a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner 🌀 (clearly my selfie skills are showing my age 😜)

Grief is complex and isn’t something you just ‘get over’ or ‘should be done with.’ When I hear this from people and whānau I often talk about this concept of grief.
Have you heard or found of other ways to understand grief?

The Hawkes bay on a winter afternoon. I’ve been away at the phase two of the brain spotting workshop, as a support volunteer for those experiencing it for the first time. Such as great team to be part off and meeting such amazing humans on the way.

Enjoy the sound of the ocean rolling the stones around 🌀
