the community will find us a warm, friendly place to come to and that their time shopping with us will make a positive difference to their day. Can you help us fill our bags?

Our popular Fill-a-Bag areas are running low on stock, especially for newborn and infant items.

If you have clean, good-condition baby or children's clothing you'd like to pass on, we'd love to give it a second life.

Your donations help local families access affordable clothing while supporting our charity's work in the community.

🌿 Join the Inspire Upcycling Team! 🌿

We’re looking for friendly, community-minded people to join our wonderful volunteer team at Inspire Upcycling, the charity store of Pregnancy Choice Dunedin.

As a Retail Shop Assistant, you’ll help serve customers, keep our store looking beautiful, and make everyone feel welcome. Each shift is just 3 hours long, with flexible options to volunteer weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, perfect for fitting around your schedule!

By volunteering with us, you’ll gain valuable retail and customer service experience, build confidence, and connect with a supportive team, all while helping a great cause. Every hour you give helps us continue our vital work supporting women and couples in Dunedin who are facing an unexpected pregnancy. All our services are completely free, ensuring everyone has access to the care and support they need.

✨ Pregnancy Choice Dunedin is a voluntary, non-profit organisation offering compassionate, non-judgmental support and clear, unbiased information about all pregnancy options. We couldn’t do this without the incredible generosity of our volunteers, their time, energy, and kindness truly make a difference in our community.

The way we care for our clothing has a major impact on how long each garment will last.

Here’s to our donors!

It has been on our heart for a long time to thank everyone who donates items to Inspire Upcycling.

We constantly have customer’s coming in and remarking on how beautiful our stock is. There is not much else to say other than, “It’s because we are gifted beautiful items!”.

We can only work with what is donated to us, and we frequently feel very blessed indeed by what the store is generously given.

When donations are brought into the store, we often feel a thank you can never suffice. As every item sold in store goes toward helping women during an extremely vulnerable time in their lives through our charity Pregnancy Choice Dunedin. It is very humbling indeed to know that each and every woman who comes through our centre doors has a whole community supporting them.

So, thank you from the very bottom of our hearts to all who gift items to Inspire Upcycling.

Rotating and using all the items in your wardrobe helps you get the most value out of what you already own. When you rely on the same few pieces, they wear out faster, while others go unused and forgotten. By spreading your love more evenly, you extend the lifespan of your clothing and reduce the need to constantly replace items.

It also encourages creativity. Revisiting pieces you don’t wear often pushes you to style them in new ways, helping you discover fresh combinations and express your personal style more fully. Instead of feeling like you have nothing to wear, you begin to see more possibilities within your existing wardrobe.

Using everything you own also promotes more mindful habits. You become more aware of what you actually like and wear, which leads to better purchasing decisions in the future. Over time, this creates a wardrobe that feels more intentional, versatile, and aligned with your lifestyle.

We had a lovely gentleman visit the store today just to tell us how much he enjoys the chalk art! He even gets off the bus a few stops early so he can take a moment to admire the beautiful work created by our amazing volunteers.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do — we’re so glad it brightens someone’s day! 💛
