Therapeutic Yoga woven with care. Nourishing movement and rest for body, mind & soul.

Yin and Myofascial Release work beautifully together.

A slow 2-hour practice of exploration, stillness, awareness and rest.

It’s not about forcing anything to release but about creating the time and space to notice what your body is already telling you.

MFR invites you to explore your body through gentle, focused pressure and movement. Yin Yoga encourages you to cultivate mindfulness and compassionate presence as you settle into stillness within a shape.

Sunday 8th of November with Catalina
11:30am–1:30pm at Hot Yoga Dunedin
Investment: $50

Save this for your next hypo.

There are different practices you can use to support your body, nervous system and mind through the ups and downs that come with living with type 1 diabetes.

It’s not one size fits all. It’s about finding the practices that work for you and support what you need.

This is why I created Living Between the Numbers, a small online group yoga therapy programme to help you explore and find the practices that support you.

Living with Type 1 Diabetes can take up a lot of mental and emotional space.
There are the constant decisions, the interrupted sleep, the exhaustion, the worry, and the feeling of always having to think one step ahead.
And then there is everything else that can get affected along the way…

It’s why I created Living Between the Numbers.
A 4-week online yoga therapy programme exploring practices that can support stress regulation, body awareness, rest and emotional wellbeing alongside your existing diabetes care.

I’m so excited to be opening the waitlist now for the first programme.
If this sounds like something that could support you, you can join the waitlist through the link in my bio.
You’ll be the first to know when bookings open.

Rest before you need it. Read this again. Rest before you need it.

Because how often do you tell yourself
“I don’t have time.”
“I’ll rest when I’ve got through this week, month, year.”

And before you know it, the candle has been burning at both ends for far too long.

Join me for the Art of Rest
2.5 hours of slowing down, exploring and resting on Saturday 26/09 at 3pm

My partner was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes just three months into our relationship, so it became a part of my life too. I learned alongside him.

I learned about the constant decisions, the highs and lows, the planning, the uncertainty and how much more there is to living with type 1 diabetes.

Then, through my yoga trainings, I started learning more about how yoga can influence us on a physiological, psychological and emotional level. I realised there are more ways I can support him beyond simply understanding what T1D is.

Over the years, that question has grown into something much bigger. I’ve become more interested in the parts of living with a chronic condition that are less tangible and how yoga can support.

The stress. The exhaustion. The emotional weight. Our relationship with our bodies. The need to constantly think ahead. The things that don’t necessarily show up in the numbers.

I’ll be sharing something really cool soon but if you are already hooked, be the first to know and join my waitlist! Link in bio.

10 years ago this week, I arrived in Aotearoa/NZ.

In my early 20s, with no real plan but full of curiosity. I spent a few months up in the North Island, went on a roadie and ended up in Tāhuna/Queenstown, where I met some of the most wonderful people and somehow ended up staying for a while.

Working long hours in hospo and cleaning left me pretty disconnected from my body. I spent a lot of time criticising what I saw in the mirror and treating my body as just a vessel that needed to function. I’d get frustrated when it didn’t work the way I wanted it to.

I didn’t yet understand the incredible, magical work my body does every day to keep me alive. I didn’t understand it needs and more importantly, deserves, to be cared for.

I’d tried yoga before, but it was during that time, and through some very special teachers, that yoga became a welcomed presence in my life.

Somewhere amongst the trails and mountains, I found my strength. I found awe and gratitude for this body that could carry me and everything I needed up steep hills and across rivers.

And through yoga, I learned to listen to and befriend my body, and to meet myself with a little more kindness.

I’m so grateful for the people I met, the conversations I had and the lessons I learned along the way (even the painful ones).

And now I’m by the ocean in dreamy Ōtepoti/Dunedin. I never imagined this would be my life, but I’m very happy it is.

Thank you for being here 🎈
