view our timetable and book online. https://www.nuyoga.nz/classes No matter your flexibility, strength or experience, yoga is a long game of seeking balance as our bodies change constantly over time. We are working to make yoga more accessible to more people, as well as offering RestRoom classes to alleviate the unprecedented volumes of stress we’ve all experienced over the past years. Our classes

are more about the time of day and the teachers teaching them. We make allowances for an evolution of traditional practices so they are relevant to our contemporary world. In the RestRoom classes, you will be cocooned to an elevated level of comfort and quietly guided through very simple breathing techniques. This is time to simply do nothing so that your nervous system can steady and reset. All our classes are taught across all skill levels and we have a beginners course so you can feel confident with the basics. Every class on the timetable will finish with a significant Rest period in proportion to the length of the class.

Yoga is more than movement.
More than shapes.
More than touching your toes.

Beyond the physical practice of asana, yoga also invites us into the way we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us.

In the yogic tradition, the Yamas and Niyamas are gentle guiding principles for living; practices like compassion, honesty, contentment, self-reflection and care.

Sometimes yoga looks like deep breath and stillness.
Sometimes it looks like presence.
And sometimes… it looks like shared laughter and genuine connection. 💛

At Nu Yoga, community is part of the practice too.

Chair Yoga offers a simple, supported way to keep your body moving — without strain or pressure.

Using the chair for stability, this class helps to improve strength, balance, and mobility in a way that feels safe and manageable.

It’s especially supportive if you’re new to yoga, working with limited mobility, or simply wanting a gentler pace.

Expect slow, guided movement, options to suit your body, and space to move with confidence.

Our Chair Yoga classes are also approved and accredited through the Living Stronger for Longer programme, supporting safe, effective movement for older adults.
