Circle Of Brothers The Circle of Brothers (COB) was first established in 2014 in Te Hiku o te Ika.

It is at its core a brotherhood and support network for Māori men, who are on a quest to be role models for the next generation of tāne in Aotearoa.

Brothers of Change Leadership Wānanga.

Our final instalment of our kaupapa, and we ran it back with our brothers from RTC. A re-grounding experience for our rangatahi, strengthening their identity, reconnecting with te ao Māori and the taiao.

Growing the confidence to lead positively within their whānau and communities.

This week the COBs were at TKKM o Pukemiro. We had a lot to do with this kura growing up, being that it was 1 of 3 Kura Kaupapa Māori in the area at the time. The connections and brotherhoods we forged with Pukemiro back then continue to endure to this day, reminding us of the importance of grounding our work in whenua, whakapapa, and community.

Arohanui to the taitamatāne, whānau, and kaiako at Pukemiro for your manaakitanga, openness, and courage. We leave inspired by your mana, and we’re grateful for the ongoing whanaungatanga as we walk this path of change together. COfknB

The circle has no edges. No sides. No top. No bottom. In here, we stand equal. At our latest kura, we created space for truth. Real kōrero. Real challenges. Breaking down what we’ve been taught to hide or view as normal. When brothers move with transparency, we stop carrying it alone, we navigate it together.
