Dr Lisa Connelly shared a presentation on the effects of UV exposure on the skin and how it contributes to visible skin ageing, before later joining a panel discussion exploring long-term healthy skin ageing. The afternoon also included conversations around the role of Retrieve in supporting healthy skin ageing journeys.

Teaching beyond the clinic walls 🌿

Dr Lisa Connelly’s commitment to education extends beyond Taranaki.

Over the weekend, Dr. Connelly lectured to close to 300 attendees at the Goodfellow Unit’s Dermatology Practical Updates 2026 webinar for GPs, primary care clinicians, pharmacists and nurses across New Zealand.

Lisa’s session focused on bacterial and fungal skin infections and skin infestations — practical topics that clinicians manage every day in the community.

The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with participants describing the sessions as:
“highly relevant to daily practice”, “extremely helpful”, and “brilliant presentations with new knowledge even for well trodden topics.”

291 clinicians registered for the event, with 100% of respondents rating the webinar as excellent or good.

Welcome Sydney ✨☺️

We’ve been delighted to host Sydney, a dermatology resident from University of Miami Department of Dermatology, during her time in New Zealand.

She has been gaining insight into how dermatology is practised here in NZ as part of her specialist training — alongside experiencing the natural beauty Taranaki is known for. 🌿🌅

This morning Lisa and Sydney hiked up the iconic Paritutu Rock in time to see the incredible sun rise then followed it up by a run down the Back Beach sand dunes. ☀️
