Show up for yourself today like you show up for everyone else.
You remember to water the plants. You remember to feed the people you love. You remember every appointment, every deadline, the endless to do list.

But when did you last drink enough water?
Step outside and actually look at the trees?
Eat something that made your body feel alive?
We give and give and give — and forget that we are also a living thing that needs tending.
You are the garden too. 🌿

Today, do one small act of care for yourself. Just one.
Drink the water. Walk among the trees. Eat something nourishing. Roll out the mat.
Not because you’ve earned it.
Because you are worth tending to — every single day. 🤍

What’s your one act of self care today?
10minutes of meditation was bliss for me! 🥰

What better way to spend your lunch break? ✨

We are so excited to announce a brand new Monday lunchtime class here at Anahata — and we cannot wait to welcome you to the mat.

Join Greg every Monday from 12–1pm for a general yoga class designed to reset your mind, restore your body, and carry you through the rest of your week with a little more ease. One hour. Just for you.💕

Whether you’re brand new to yoga or simply looking for a midday moment of stillness, this class is open to everyone. Roll out your mat, take a breath, and let the week slow down for just a little while.

There is something truly special about carving out that lunchtime hour — moving mindfully, breathing deeply, and stepping back into your afternoon feeling lighter, more centred, and more like yourself.

We honestly cannot wait to see familiar faces and new ones too. Come as you are. 🙏

3 hours a day. Every single day.
That’s 15 hours a week I spent commuting — on tubes, on buses, watching the city blur past the window while my body slowly forgot what stillness felt like.
My mat collected dust. My practice, the thing that built me, quietly fell away.

I was full. Just not of the right things.
Sound familiar?

I run a yoga studio. I teach people to breathe, to slow down, to come home to themselves.

So I made a choice. I moved closer. I put the bundle down.
New home. New light through new windows. A floor wide enough to finally roll out a mat again.
I stood in that garden and just breathed.

Empty your cup so that it may be filled. — Bruce Lee

The traveler doesn’t find wisdom at the peak. He finds it in everything he releases along the way.

That’s the practice. That’s always been the practice.
New chapter incoming. 🤍🌿

What are you carrying that no longer serves you?
You can pour your whole heart into holding space for others — and completely forget to hold it for yourself.

Come back to your mat, with me. Across the other side of the world.

Join us at Anahata, we have a special back to the mat package of 10 days unlimited yoga for just $25.
I’ll be rolling out my mat in London, but you can join our beautiful community by the beach in Petone.

✨Starting something new can feel harder than it should.

Most people don’t come in feeling confident -
they come in unsure, tired, or just needing something to shift.

That’s okay.

Each class at Anahata is designed to meet you where you are, not where you think you should be. Our teachers will adjust and guide if you need as well!

If you’ve been thinking about starting or returning to yoga, I know it’s daunting and not always obvious where to start.

Different classes suit different people, and you don’t need to figure it out perfectly.🙏

Some people want to move gently.
Some want a bit more strength.
Some just need somewhere to slow down.

And some need a space that understands the season they’re in — pregnancy, early motherhood, or simply a full life.

You don’t have to keep up.
You don’t have to get it right.

If you’re unsure, start with Gentle or Yin + Restorative class
and our fabulous teachers will be able to guide you from there.

I spend a lot of time moving between places.

Flights, plans, different routines —
life doesn’t really slow down.

Yoga doesn’t change that.

But it does change how you move within it.

Less reactive.
Less pulled in every direction.
More able to pause.

That’s the kind of steadiness we practise at Anahata.

And it’s what people come back for —
not intensity, not performance,
but how it carries into the rest of their life.

If things have been feeling full lately,
this is where you can come and slow things down again.
We are open all Easter weekend, and have a special promo ending April 18th!

Life doesn’t stop.

But your response to it can soften.✨

Challenges will come. Dreams will evolve.
But growth happens when you pause, breathe, and notice how far you’ve already come.

It’s easy to be caught up in the “not yets”, the “to do’s”, and “what ifs”, but really, life brings challenges and unfulfilled dreams — but it also brings strength, resilience, and quiet victories.

Take a moment today to honor your journey.

If you’re like me, a simple win is going to a yoga class and giving myself that time to nurture my body and still the mind- without judgement.
When we celebrate the small, accept what is, the peace comes more.

That nervous, unconfident feeling before walking into a class?
It doesn’t magically disappear — even after years of teaching.
But here’s the truth: no one is judging you. We’re all there for the same reason.
To breathe. To feel better. To move. To soften.
If you’ve been hovering on the edge of coming to class, let this be your sign.
Come as you are. That is the practice.
And that… is yoga ✨
Little reminder if you’ve been putting it off… to get out of your own way 💕
