Talking about Winter....
Vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin, our fabulous bodies naturally produce it when our skin is exposed to sunlight. In the darker months it can be a little harder to reach optimal levels.
Often we may notice subtle changes in mood, lowered immunity, muscle or bone aches, fatigue or a feeling of malaise when our levels drop & we are unable to get out into sunlight as frequently as we'd like.
We can supplement through these months as a little boost if needed & of course increasing Vit D rich foods such as oily fish, eggs & Mushrooms, organ meats too.
I love all the seasons in their own special way but in Winter I do struggle a little more with the cold, the shorter days, I'm like a lizard! I need to soak up the sun, laying on a rock 🦎 haha!
