Yapi Services team had the pleasure of visiting Hospital School SA at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and connecting with the wonderful staff who make a difference in the lives of young people and their families every day.

It was particularly special to visit during the celebration of an incredible milestone – 25 years of Clown Doctors Australia bringing laughter, joy, and positivity to children receiving care at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. What an amazing achievement and testament to the impact that kindness and connection can have during challenging times.

We were also grateful for the opportunity to meet with Matthew McCurry, Principal of Hospital Schools SA, and learn more about the important work being undertaken to support the educational needs and wellbeing of young people while they are in hospital.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed us so warmly. We look forward to continuing to build connections and learn from the outstanding work being done across our community.

Today, Yapi Services acknowledges National Sorry Day, a significant day of reflection, healing, and recognition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families, and communities affected by the policies of forced child removal, now known as the Stolen Generations.

We stand alongside our communities in honouring the strength, resilience, and survival of First Nations peoples and acknowledge the pain and ongoing impacts that continue to be felt across generations.

National Sorry Day is a reminder of the importance of truth-telling, healing, connection to culture, and working together towards a future built on respect, understanding, and reconciliation.

At Yapi Services, we remain committed to creating safe, culturally respectful, and empowering spaces for our children, young people, families, and Elders.

Today, we encourage everyone to take a moment to listen, learn, reflect, and acknowledge the stories and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Last week, Yapi Services was proud to attend this year’s North Eastern Nunga Tag Carnival & Expo held on Kaurna Country.

It was an incredible opportunity to connect with more than 650 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, alongside their families and community members from the North Eastern, Northern, Western suburbs, and Murray Bridge regions.

To witness this event in action was truly extraordinary and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the organisers, sponsorship partners, schools, community members, and everyone involved in making the day such a success for our young people. Events like this create culturally safe spaces that promote connection, wellbeing, leadership, and positive pathways for the next generation.

It was also fantastic to see Dean Widders in attendance. Dean’s continued commitment to supporting and empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through sport, culture, and leadership continues to inspire many across the country.

Yapi Services thanks everyone involved for welcoming us to such a meaningful and impactful event. We look forward to continuing to support opportunities that empower and celebrate our young people and communities.

Yesterday, our team had the opportunity to attend the State of Philanthropy Insights Series – Forum Session, hosted by Philanthropy Australia at SkyCity Adelaide.

The session provided valuable insights into the philanthropy sector and highlighted the important work being supported through Philanthropy Australia’s partnership with the Fay Fuller Foundation.

It was also a privilege to hear from Heather Grady from Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, who shared her perspectives and extensive global experience in philanthropy and social impact.

We also appreciated the opportunity to hear from Philanthropy Australia representatives Darrell, Maree, and Jodie, who shared their knowledge, insights, and commitment to strengthening philanthropy and community impact across the sector.

We appreciate the opportunity to continue learning, building connections, and exploring ways to strengthen outcomes for communities through collaboration and meaningful partnerships.

Meet Chloe

We’re proud to introduce Chloe, a dedicated and passionate professional who brings a wealth of experience, care, and energy to the Yapi Services team.

With over eight years in the hospitality industry, including four years in management, Chloe has developed strong leadership, organisational, and people skills. From managing teams and coordinating operations to handling administration and payroll, she brings both structure and creativity to everything she does.

Chloe has also worked as a School Support Officer, providing one-on-one support to young people with behavioural needs. This experience has strengthened her empathy, patience, and ability to build genuine, supportive relationships, something she carries into her mentoring work every day.

A proud mum of two, Chloe is deeply connected to her family and culture. She finds peace and grounding by the river, her place of calm, reflection, and home.
